The past week had been so stressful. Everyone was on alert at all times. Dominic trained everyone three times a a day both males and females. The security was extra tight around the borders. Going in and out too much was restricted.

I hated this routine. Everything was very stressful. Our routine was mundane, so monotonous. I was extremely agitated from it. Closing my book I fixated my eyes on the TV watching as the media gushed over the endless list of celebrities.

"Where are all the bandages?" Dominic shouted from the bathroom door which was open. He had gotten a little injury while he was training.

"Top shelf" i said back

I could hear him hustling and i again concentrated on the tv.

I was so indulged in it that I didn't realise when Dominic stepped out.

"What the fuck is this?" He glared at me and I frowned looking at the object in his hands.

Fuck!

"Contraception" i cleared my throat a little scared of the way he was looking at me.

"You're fucking taking birth control? Why the fuck didn't you tell me?" He raised his voice a little and i could see his eyes changing colours.

"Dominic what else would i do?"

"What the fuck do you mean? Why the hell are you taking these?" He growled clutching the small thing in his hands.

"Why wouldn't i take these we're having sex shouldn't we have atleast one method of protection?" I threw my hands up in frustration.

Dominic growled at me again. His eyes completely jet black now.

"Protection from pregnancy? Don't you want us to have kids?" His eyes stared deep into mine and I suddenly felt nervous

"One day. But not anytime soon" I held my chin up confident in my answer.

I could see a flicker of emotion in his eyes. Sadness? But he quickly covered it up.

"You know since the moment we first had sex i was waiting for that day a few months from now on you'd come and tell me that we had a pup on the way" he spoke softly, throwing the bottle on the bed next to me.

His words broke my heart and i honestly felt like an ass hole.

"Dominic I" I started but was cut off

"Next time just give me a heads up or try communicating with me" with that he slammed the bathroom door shut and i could hear the shower turn on.

I should have told him! Why was i so stupid! I groaned in the pillow feeling frustrated.

I walked downstairs to get a glass of water when i saw Alex with her kids.

May as usual turned away from me but i smiled at Alex.

"Hey what are you all doing up? Its late" i stared at the clock that read twelve am.

"They didn't feel like sleeping and neither do i" she smiled and ruffled her sons hair.

I smiled at Alex and sat down on the floor like them.

"I'm scared" I whispered to her.

"Don't be. We deal with things like this all the time it's nothing big"

I stayed quiet.

By the time i came back up Dominic was sleeping. I snuggled in with him staring at his face in the dark.

"I'm sorry" I whispered touching his light stubble.

He quickly wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to his chest.

I smiled and closed my eyes. Going to sleep.

When i woke up I could hear hustling. Dominic was buttoning up his sleeves of the white button up shirt looking extremely handsome.

"Woah what's the occasion" i got up from the bed, yawning sitting in the covers.

"It's Alex's Mate. He requested a meeting in an hour"

"Why" i asked rubbing my eyes

"I'll have to find out. Do you want to come?" He turned to me

"Hell yeah" i yawned again

"Just give me half an hour"

Half an hour later me Alex and Dominic were situated in Doms office waiting for Alpha Bryson. Alex looked calm but i knew the presence of her mate made her sad.

Alpha Bryson entered the room but stopped when his eyes landed on Alex. He gave her a look for a second but turned to look at Dominic.

"Dominic" he greeted

My mate just nodded back. Last time they met it wasn't pretty.

"Why are you here?" Dominic was honest as Bryson sat down.

"I heard you were going to War with the rouges" as soon as he said that his eyes flickered to me.

"I wish to help you in this"

"We don't need your help" Dominic shrugged it off.

"My fucking children are in this pack and i have every right to help them" He growled.

Dominic looked at Alex who looked at him. They both were probably mind linking. After a few seconds Dominic sighed and agreed.

"You have to follow my orders on any cost" Dominic warned

Bryson growled not taking the command easily.

It wasn't going to be easy having two hot head Alphas together. Oh boy.

In the following days Alpha Bryson moved in to a guest house and the twins were thrilled. They got to see their father everyday. Whereas Alex was Quiet. She didn't realise what she felt exactly but whatever it was she kept it locked up inside her.

The following morning me and Dominic sat peacefully at the table having dinner. The sun was just rising and i stared out at the different hues of colours. I was so deeply mesmerised in the nature that i jumped and screamed when there was a huge bang on our door.

Frowning Dominic opened the door to a teenage boy who looked pretty freaked out.

"The west border-There's an-nother body" he was out of breath and it was almost hard to make out what he just said.

Immediately Dominic came to his Alpha mode and looked for his shoes.

"I'm coming with you" i put my shoes on not making it a topic of discussion.

Dominic didn't even bother responding to me and sped out the door and i followed. When we reached the area it was as if half the pack was already there.

Dominic growled in anger at the body beneath him. A young life brought to an end. I could feel his frustration oozing out and his hands clenched by his side.

"Shift him to the morgue we'll have a proper funeral for him tomorrow. As for right now i want all the-" he didn't get to finish his line when there was a huge explosion.

I gasped at the sound and Dominic was at my side in a second.

"What the fuck was that?" I asked Dominic but he wasn't listening, his eyes were staring off into space and his eyes were jet black. Something was very wrong.

"We're being attacked"
