"which one is better? white one or black one?" i asked my best friend.
cassandra was sitting on my bed, supposedly helping me with getting ready for my first date with daniel. she wasn't really helpful since she had been on her phone since i invited her. she would only answer my questions with nods and 'yeah''s.
"cassandraaaa." i trailed off her name, wanting to get her attention. "i'm sorry, you were saying?" she removed her eyes from her phone for the first time today. "that's it. hand me the phone!" i said sternly. "what? no! i need it." she held the phone close to her and i rolled my eyes, smiling.
"cass, give me the phone. you're obsessed with it. hand it over." i told her but she shook her head. "well then, what are you doing on it?" i asked her. "nothing." she quickly answered. "right. c'mon cass, best friends tell each other everything, isn't that right?" i said and she nodded before sighing.
she put down her phone and stared at me longly.
"the black one is great." she smiled. i slowly walked towards her and quickly took her phone and typed in her password. "mad, no!" she shouted as i ran with her phone.
i locked myself in my bathroom. cassandra knocked on my bathroom door but i didn't answer.
"madison sienna hills! open the door right now!" she yelled. "not until i found out your secret!" i shouted back.
the first thing that popped up when you open her phone was imessage. i scrolled to see who her last conversation was with. i smirked when i saw jonah's name. i read their last conversation and smiled.
after i was done, i opened the door and cassandra took the phone almost immediately.
"you're in love with jonah! you like jonah!" i yelled and she blushed. "shut up." she mumbled, hiding her face with her hands. "i can't believe it! how come you never told me? well, i should have known...i'm your best friend! god! how did i not notice? i was to caught up with everything that was happening between dani and i that i didn't even paid any attention to you! i'm so sorry, cass! are you guys already dating or something?" i hadn't even noticed that i had started to ramble on.
"calm down, mad. jonah and i aren't even together..." she said. "yet!" i yelled and she rolled her eyes. "c'mon, let's get you ready for your date. we'll talk about me and my love life later." she said and i sighed. "you're no fun."
