"have you ever wondered what it's like to kiss someone, daniel?" i asked the brown haired boy as i hanged upside down on the big tree.
"kiss someone?" daniel repeated, obviously confused. "like i kiss my mom?"

i rolled my eyes and carefully jumped off the tree. i sat beside him on the grass and snatched some.

"no dummy, on the lips like in the movies meredith watches with my mom." i continued.
"i don't know, i never tried." daniel told me truthfully.

"it's always like that ; the girl says she doesn't like the guy and then they pretend to hate each other or something but at the end of the movie, they kiss on the lips." i explained to him. " oh no daniel, i so don't like you, and then they kiss." i acted dramatically with a horrible british accent and daniel giggled.

i chuckled too and continued snatching the grass.

"stop doing that, you're hurting it." daniel told me and i raised my eyebrows.
"what are you talking about?" i asked him.
"the grass. didn't you listen during mr. hughes class? he said grass was a part of the nature and nature feel stuff too."
"i don't listen to his classes. they're boring." i answered.

but i still stopped snatching the grass, i was scared that daniel was maybe right and i was really hurting the grass.

"i'm sorry." i whispered to the grass, quietly so daniel wouldn't hear me.
"did you ever kissed someone?" daniel brought back the topic.
"no. but people in movies always make it seem like such a big deal. i wanted to try." i responded and daniel nodded.

we stayed in a perfect silence and i sighed. i hated silence and daniel knew that.

"say something, it's boring when we don't say anything." i said, throwing grass at him.
"right." daniel removed the grass from his t-shirt and smiled at me. "i wanna try the kissing thing you told me."

"really?" i questioned and he nodded. "maybe we should try it."
"yes, maybe we should." daniel agreed.
"okay then." i replied. "on the count to tree..."
"1.2.3." daniel and i both counted.

we both leaned in and pecked each other's lips. it didn't last for long, maybe two seconds are so but it was kind of fun. i wiped my mouth with my sleeve and smiled to daniel.

"it's not that big of a deal." i said.
"yeah, it's not that amazing." daniel agreed once again.
"maybe we did it the wrong way. i'll try to watch my sisters other movies." i told him and he nodded.
"great idea." daniel smiled. "now, shouldn't we go home? it's starting to get dark?"

we both got up and walked to our houses, which weren't that far from each other. we both waved each other goodbye. and only once i was was alone in my room, i started jumping around. i kissed him, just like in the movies! i took out my secret diary. i had a lot to write that day.

🔐

"remember our first kiss, dani?" i asked the brown haired guy. we were sitting on swings at the park.
"how could i not remember? it was iconic. and it was the best kiss i ever had." daniel chuckled.
"we didn't even kiss, we literally pecked each other's lips." i laughed.

i felt a raindrop on my nose and i sighed. every time we hanged out outside, it had to rain.

"oh c'mon, every time." i whined and daniel laughed.
"it's a curse." he said, shrugging his shoulders.
"should we go back?" i asked him and daniel got off the swing.
"later. can i first have this dance?" he asked and i smiled.

i got up and took his hand. and as if were in a romantic movie, we both started to dance the waltz. even though we didn't really know how.
for a moment, it seemed like it had stopped raining. the rain didn't even bother me anymore.

it was just me and him, dancing in the rain. i couldn't get my eyes off his beautiful blue eyes, they were so mesmerizing. daniel started to hum a song that i knew way to well to not sing.

"won't you promise me, we'll keep dancing
wherever we go next." i sang quietly and daniel smiled.

"it's like catching lightning, the chances of finding someone like you,
it's one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do." he continued.

"and with every step together, we just keep on getting better, so can i have this dance?" we both ended. we both bursted out laughing.
"it felt just like we were in high school musical." i said.
"yeah, maybe we should consider of being cast in hsm 4." daniel chuckled.

we finally decided to go back to boys house because it was to rain a lot and we were both really cold. daniel drove back to the house and i couldn't help but feel so happy.

everything was right, right now. for once. daniel had begged david to let him stay with me. and his manager gave him a second chance. i hadn't her or meghan.

everything was right but it was still worrying. i knew that every time something was going alright, something bad will happen later. and i was right because in a few weeks, my life will go back to the bad life it had always been.
