I look up and met my mother with a look.
"Meredith." She groaned as if my presence disgusts her.
"Yes?"
"I will be attending you surgery with your boyfriend." She took a pause, "don't embarrass me and screw it up." She turned and headed towards the elevator.
"Hah! And I thought Burke and my mother's were crazy!" Christina laughed evilly as I dumped my tray and headed toward the OR as I jumped in the elevator a man stuck a chart in the way of the door closing. The sensors caught it and opened the door for the stranger.
"Hello." The man said, I had no clue who he was.
"Hi, who are you?" The bluntness that I got from my godawful mother came through.
"Nathan Riggs, what about you?" The man giggled I assume this was a sorry excuse for flirting.
"Meredith Grey and yes my mother is the chief and while you were wondering which I know you were yes I have a boyfriend and it's Derek Shepard." I answered all of the mysterious mans questions. The next floor arrived and the door opens. The odd man doesn't get off, but the person who requested the elevator does and then I saw him, Derek.
"Hi," I said.
"Hello Mer." Derek sheepishly looks at Nathan shrugging his shoulders and smiling towards the stranger direction.
"boyfriend?" said the guy that's wearing the strangely attractive red sweater.
"something like that," My eyes batted i felt it., im hoping Derek didn't
Once the elevator stopped and the next floor abruptly ended the nonexistent conversation Derek said, "You to were flirting..." he just kinda laughed about to probably dismiss the fact that i was tottaly flirting. but not intentionally of course. I think.
"I get it, this is still new, and it didn't help that before, when we broke up the first time, i was helplessly flirting with Addison,"
"yes Derek you did, That hurt me but it didn't ruin my life. what ruined, my surgeries, is when you chose HER, I like you Derek, alot, i may even love you but you need to man up and take the firsts step. I don't do that." the elevator 'dinged' to interupt our fight but I add before i storm out, "And I Wasn't Flirting!"
