The Rise of the Shadows

Chapter 3

We are all set up for the RC car decoy run (we should've worked on the name but its not important). "On my mark, you send the RC car out into the open and start driving, alright Tim?" I said. 

"Got it Evan, tell me when" said Tim. 

"3..2..1.. NOW!" Tim started the RC car and sent it flying out the door.  He sent it away from us and the shadows were watching the decoy, and then they istarted to follow the decoy.

 "Now's our chance lets move," said Felicity.

 "What about Doc?" said Tim.

"I will get hIm," I said,  "now run towards the car that you know has fuel in it."

"Sounds like a plan," said Tim. "Lets get Moving Felicity, we will see you soon Evan." 

I dashed to where Doc was, but I was shocked to see that Doc had gotten free from the rope.

 I looked out the door Doc had left open. I saw Doc had been trapped by the shadows. There was no way to help him, so I turned around and headed to the car where Tim and Felicity were hiding,

'Where is Doc?" they both asked at the same time. 

"He is dead the shadows got him, we need to leave now!" I said as a horde of shadows started to show their face.

 "Poor Doc," said Felicity.

"Let's go!" screamed Tim, as the shadows inched closer. We started the car and we left, what was once New York. 

"I am sorry I couldn't  save Doc Tim, I tried too but I couldn't" I said.

"Its ok Evan,  I never really liked him., he was always a jerk wad to everyone and no one really liked him not even his own parents so when they died he danced on their graves during the Funeral." said Tim.  "WAIT WHAT!" said Felicity shocked. "yeah he did that and after the funeral he was scolded by his family every last one of them." said Tim. "How do you know all this? " I asked "He was my brother till after the funeral where he was not allowed in the family anymore and he thought I wanted to kick him out to when I never even voted." said Tim "Your related to that monster man your life must have been terrible with him always around" said Felicity "It never really bothered me as he left me alone till after the funeral" said Tim "what did he do to you after the funeral" I asked "He tried to blame crimes on me, tried to steal my money and credit cards, and tried to murder my own family even my dogs" said Tim "How did he not go to jail for those things?" said Felicity. " he went to jail every time he did it and each time he got more sentences and the police were getting tired of him trying to damage my reputation or murder my family so they set up a fence around my house that was electrified so he couldn't get in" said Tim. " Well not to offend you Tim but i am glad he is gone he was always a jerk and with the information you told us I don't want to do a funeral for him anymore" I said "I never liked him to begin with so your fine by saying that and the camp is up ahead just take a left and we should be there soon"Said Tim. "I can't to introduce you to the Macorov's they are nice people but they had lost there Dad during the event" said Felicity. " "The who's?" I asked "The Macorov's why?"  "Thats my last name my family might still be alive" I thought to my self with tears in my eye. " Are you ok Evan?" asked Tim "Oh uh yes I just had some dust in my eye thats all" I lied trying to keep my composure in check.
