Brooke's POV:
"So how was the date last night?" Sarah ask with a smirk. "It was great. Really great." I say as my cheeks heat up at the thought of it.
"Was the restaurant super fancy?"
"Very." I say rolling my eyes at her excitement. "I was so nervous." I admit and she laughs.
"Well you did go out on a date with the hottest guy in our university you know." She says raising an eyebrow.
"I can't deny that." I grin as I finish wiping up the table. Grayson was one of the hottest guys I've ever met. I'd never deny that.
"Speaking of the devil." Sarah says as she walks past me and makes her way to the back with some plates in her hands.
I look up at the doorway and I see Grayson with a big smile on his face.
"What are you doing here?" I ask mimicking his smile as he walks up to me. "Well I figured I could have lunch with you." He grins.
"How'd you know it was almost time for my lunch break?" I squint my eyes a bit in a joking manner. "I don't know. You've been here a few hours. I took a guess." He shrugs sliding into the booth that I just cleaned.
"So are you going to join me? I'll pay." He smiles. I roll my eyes and plop down in front of him.
Almost immediately Sarah comes over with a bright smile ready to go get anything we want which causes me to chuckle.
"This is my friend Sarah." I say introducing her to Grayson she waves a little and Grayson says hi and then ask for a cheeseburger and fries while I just ask for a water. Sarah rolls her eyes at me for not ordering anything and heads to the back.
"So why'd you really come here?" I ask Grayson lifting one of my eyebrows. He shrugs. "Wanted to see you." My cheeks heat up.
Soon Sarah comes back with our order. Well Grayson's order. "You can thank me for that date last night. I was the one that told her to go." Grayson chuckles at Sarah's enthusiasm and I roll my eyes.
"Well thank you very much Sarah." Grayson smiles. I take a drink of my water as Sarah winks at me and goes to take another order.
"It's almost December." Grayson says trying to make small talk.
"It's so strange. It's like it was just August." I chuckle. He laughs a little and takes another bite of his food.
"So are you going back home for christmas?" He ask furrowing his eyebrows. "Probably not. My parents haven't had a party or anything like that in years." I say shyly. Grayson's face doesn't falter and I can tell he's thinking about something.
"Why don't you come home with me?" He ask. My eyes widen. "That means I'll meet your parents." I chuckle. He laughs a little. "Well of course." I swallow the lump in my throat. The sheer thought of meeting his parents makes me nervous.
"They'd love you. My brother and sister would too." He smiles trying to convince me.
"You have two siblings?" I ask changing the subject a bit. "Yeah. I have a twin brother, Ethan and an older sister Cameron." He says nonchalantly.
"A twin?" I ask with my eyes wide. So there's another one out there that looks just like him? Oh my god. "Yeah he stayed home. He's more into YouTube and stuff. He didn't feel like college was for him." He shrugs. I just nod.
We fall silent for a minute while he finishes up his food. "You don't have to give me an answer now you know. We have plenty of time." He smirks. I just nod slowly.
If I do this then I might be moving too fast. I don't want to jump straight into something and get my heart broken again. Something tells me that Grayson wouldn't do that though.
