Brooke's POV:

"Dinner's ready!" We here from the kitchen. I take a deep breath. "I actually need to use the restroom really quick. It was a long drive." I say shyly. "Oh it's down the hall first door to your left." Cameron smiles. "Thanks." I say with a smile and make my way down the hall.

The truth is I really just need a minute to myself. I need to clear my mind up a bit.

As I get into the bathroom I close the lid on the toilet and sit and start to take deep breaths.

Maybe he just said I was his girlfriend because he didn't want his family to find our relationship weird. That's not that big of a deal. His family's super nice so I just need to relax and have a good time.

Grayson's POV:

"She's been in there for a while sweetie why don't you go check on her?" My Mom suggest. I nod and stand up from the table really quick trying not to make too big of a scene.

I make my way down the all too familiar hallway and knock on the door lightly.

"Hey it's me." I say softly so she doesn't get too frightened.

I hear a little bit of shifting and then the door swings open showing me a troubled looking Brooke.

"What's wrong?" I ask furrowing my eyebrows. She lets out a sigh but doesn't say anything. Suddenly I know what it's about. "Is it about what I said?" I ask. And she nods knowing exactly what I'm talking about.

"Listen if you don't want to be in a committed relationship right now I understand. It's just I really like you and you're really the only girl I see myself being with right now." I ramble and she looks up at me with a frown still placed on her face.

"I like you too Grayson and that's what scares me." She admits and my heart drops to my stomach. Does she not want to love me?

"I wouldn't hurt you." I say yet again. She never seems to believe me but I'll keep trying.

"I know." She mutters looking down at her hands. "Why don't we give a relationship a shot and if you don't like it we can forget about it when we get home. Think of it like a test drive." I suggest and she nods. That's a good sign.

"Okay." She says blatantly. I smile. "Okay baby lets go eat. They're all worried about you." I smile yet again.

"I wasn't even in here that long." She chuckles. "I'll just tell them you were taking a shit." I joke and her eyes widen and she slaps my arm as we step out of the bathroom.

"You better not." She says sternly causing me to chuckle.

As we reach the table my moms quick to butt into the whole situation. "Are you okay sweetie?" She ask with a soft smile.

"Oh yeah I was just Uh feeling a little homesick that's all." She lies and I'm proud of her in this moment. She lies with ease. That's kind of scary for your girlfriend to lie easily but I don't care because I know she's different. I just know it.
