Brooke's POV:

I applied for a restaurant a couple of days ago and this morning I woke up to a call from them offering me the job. I know it may sound weird but I'm excited about it. I'm just going to be a waitress but I'm going to have my own money.

I'm supposed to start tomorrow and they said they'll work around my class schedule which is great. I do have to be in pretty early tomorrow so I hope my neighbor doesn't decide to have another big party tonight. Knowing him he'd probably do it on purpose.

I roll my eyes at the thought of my dick of a neighbor and turn on my TV.

*********
Later that night

"Great." I mutter to myself. I hear yelling coming from next door and I know exactly what that means.

How many parties does he actually need to have? He's had one two nights in a row.

I'm half tempted to go over there yelling again but I talk myself out of it. I just need to take a shower and go to bed. I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow and I really can't mess it up.

***********
The next day

I wake up to my alarm blaring. I groan at the time. Only 7am. Great.

I hate waking up early but I'm still kind of excited to start my job.

I roll out of bed and head towards my bathroom. I look in the mirror and I'm sort of disgusted with what I see. I have dark circles surrounding my eyes because of the lack of sleep because of all the loud noise next door and not to mention my hair is unruly.

I roll my eyes and pick up my toothbrush. I brush my teeth and throw my hair into a ponytail.

Now I gotta do something about these eye bags. I apply foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, and some mascara. I do need to make a good impression anyway.

I smile at myself in the mirror. Something tells me that I'm really going to enjoy this new job.

**********

"Here's your hat." The girls says handing me my hat with the restaurant logo on it. "Thanks." I say with a kind smile.

I slip it on pulling my pony tail out the back. She smiles at me. "Okay so there's nothing much to this job. Just keep a smile on your face. Some people are assholes but just ignore them." She explains. She seems to have worked here for a while but she's about my age.

"Oh and I'm Sarah." She says with a bright smile. "Brooke but you already know that." I chuckle with embarrassment. She chuckles along with me.

"Chances are we'll be working some of the same hours because we're the only college students." She points out. "Good." I say truthfully. I don't think I'd mind working with her. I'm getting a good vibe from her and I feel like we'll end up being good friends.
