Brooke's POV:

To say I'm nervous is an understatement. It's been so long since I've been on a date let alone with someone I cared about.

I was gonna have Sarah come over to help me tonight but she picked up my shift so I could come. I thanked her several times but I don't think a thank you was quite enough.

I let out a sigh as I flattened my hands down my dress. Grayson said this place was on the fancy side and I'm trying my best to fit the dress code even though I'm not a fancy person.

The dress is really simple but it sits well against my skin tone and it hugs my waist well. I put on a simple black choker to add a bit of a flare to the outfit along with some bracelets. I don't think I've ever tried quite this hard before.

To top off the outfit I'm wearing some simple black heels to tie everything together. My hairs curled loosely and I hope he likes it because it took me forever. Not to mention the make up almost sent me over the edge because I kept messing it up.

You know what? I just need to stop worrying about everything. He's seen me naked, this is nothing.

I laugh at my own thoughts when I hear a knock at my door. Shit.

I run to my bed and grab my clutch that contains my keys, phone, and anything else I might need.

"Okay Brooke you got this" I talk myself up and then swing the door open to reveal a smiling Grayson.

"Wow." He mutters with the smile never leaving his face. "I hope this is Uh okay." I say looking down at my simple dress. "It's great." He smiles taking my hand.

I lock and shut the door behind me as he leads me to his car. He's already making me feel more at ease.

As we get in the car it's warm as if he's had the heat running for a while but I'm not complaining. The frigid wind outside was enough to freeze me to death.

"Where are we going exactly?" I ask furrowing my eyebrows as he shifts his car into drive. "Roe's." (Random ass name if you couldn't tell) my eyes widen. I haven't lived here long and I already know that this place is known for how fancy it is.

"Grayson you didn't have to take me some Where fancy you know." I say glancing at him and then back at the road. "But I wanted to. We got off on the wrong foot and I wanted to make up for it." He says with a small smile causing me to smile.

As we pull into the restaurant's parking lot I already feel out of my element. "The Foods Great. You'll love it." Grayson says placing his hand on my thigh to reassure me.

As we walk up to the restaurant my hearts pounding. I hope I don't embarrass myself and I sure as hell hope I'm not under dressed.

"Reservations for Dolan." Grayson mutters to the hostess. She smiles brightly at us and leads us to an elaborate table near the back of the restaurant.

Not even a minute later a waiter comes by and ask for our drinks. Grayson and I both say water which causes him to smirk at me as the guy goes to get our drinks.

We fall silent as we look over our menu. I have no clue what to pick. Everything's priced ridiculously and I don't know if I'm courageous enough to try anything.

Grayson's POV:

She's biting her lip as she scans through her menu and I know she's having trouble choosing. "Pick anything you want. Price isn't a problem." I reassure her and she nods with her lip still tucked between her teeth.

I smile at her a little and return to my menu.

Soon the guy is back with our drinks and is ready to ask for our orders. I give him mine and I wait to hear what Brooke says.

Brooke's POV:

"I'll take the chicken Cesar salad." I mutter to the waiter closing up my menu. I know I probably should've tried something more adventurous but I don't need that stacking onto the nerves that I already have.

"You scared to eat in front of me now." Grayson jokes taking a sip from his water. "No I was kind of flustered." I admit.

"I could've asked for a couple more minutes." He says looking at me over his glass. God, he's so intimidating when he's wearing formal clothes.

"I know. I'm sorry. I'm just nervous. I'm not really the type to get nervous." I ramble. "So I make you nervous?" He smirks causing my cheeks to heat up. He lets out a low chuckle as I take a sip of my water.

"You look stunning." He says taking in my curled hair and my dress. My cheeks turn red yet again and a small smile plays on my lips. "You don't look too bad yourself." I smirk suddenly feeling a surge of confidence. He chuckles as the waiter comes back and gently placed our food in front of us.

"So how does your bowl of grass taste?" Grayson ask plopping a piece of steak into his mouth. I chuckle. "Fantastic." I say with a smile and continue to eat.

Halfway through dinner I catch him staring at me. "What?" I ask tucking my hair behind my ear nervously. "You're just so perfect." He mutters squinting his eyes a bit.

I don't say anything back mainly because I don't know what to say. "I didn't mean to Uh weird you out it's just I've never felt this connected to anyone before." He rambles. I chuckle a bit. "I understand. I feel it too." I admit. I'm able to joke with him and he's able to joke with me. Not only that but we listen to each other and help each other. This is all too real and it's sort of overwhelming but I wouldn't want it any other way.

"So what do you like to do on your free time princess?" He blurts moving on to a different topic. "Don't make fun of me." I chuckle. A big smile spreads across his face. "Never." "I like to read." I say taking a sip of my water scared of what he'll have to say. He just nods.

"What about you?" I ask finishing up my salad. He furrows his eyebrows as he thinks really hard of what it is he does with his free time. "I like the out doors a lot." He shrugs. "So probably going to the beach or hiking." I nod. "Adventurous." I State as he sits his fork down signaling that he's done with his food.

"Is that a bad thing?" He teases. "No. Not at all. I admire people like that." I say truthfully. "Sometimes I tend to be the exact opposite." I say pushing my hair behind my ear as the waiter brings the bill.

Grayson doesn't show me the bill. I probably don't want to see it because I'll feel too bad.

He gives the waiter his card and we wait for the waiter to bring it back. When he has his card back Grayson smiles at me. "Let's go home shall we?" He ask with a bright smile that causes me to smile.
