Grayson's POV:

"They're Great." Brooke smiles up at me as she climbs into my old bed. I smile back at her and lay down next to her.

"They like you." I reassure her. "How can you be so sure?" She teases. "They never acted like that around the other girls I brought home." I say seriously.

"Is that why Ethan said I was so different?" She ask looking down at her fingers.

"I think so. You are very different." I admit. "If I'm so different then why do you like me so much?" She ask raising a brow.

"Because I've been yearning for someone like you." I say with a shy smile.

I wasn't lying. I've wanted a girl like her for a long time. A girl that actually had a goal in life and worked towards it and didn't sleep around the whole school.

As I think about her I've realized I've never asked about her future. We've never gotten that deep with one another. Since we're trying a relationship out I should probably ask. "What are you going to school for?" I blurt. She chuckles a little.

"Well the goal is to become a veterinarian." She says with a small smile. "That'd be fun. You'd see all different kinds of animals." I say getting a chuckle out of her.

We fall silent again and I pop another question. "Do you want kids someday?" I ask. She's silent for a minute. Maybe I went too far. "Yeah I think so. I think they're cute." She giggles. "I've just never really thought about it that much." She admits pushing her hair behind her ear which is a nervous habit I've seen her do many times.

"I think I want a girl." I add. "Why a girl?" She ask with a chuckle. "Bc the idea of her being a daddy's girl has always been cute to me." I admit.

"Have you ever been in love?" She ask. Now it's my turn to feel a little pressure.

"Honestly no." I say now nervous that she thinks this relationship won't work. "Im willing to try." I add.

"It's different." She says softly. "It's almost like whenever they do something a fire ignites in your stomach and sets your whole body on fire. Like when you kiss." She says looking down at her hands with a small smile.

"What are you grinning about?" I tease. "N-nothing I just realized that I get that feeling around you." She says looking up at me with big eyes. "I haven't felt that way in a long time and this time it's ten times better than the last." She adds.

My heart flutters. So she does feel it. I felt it too but could never find the word to describe it. Love.

We just now started "dating" but I've felt this way since I took her out on that date.

"That night that we went on that date like a month ago was when I realized that I had that feeling." I say looking up at the ceiling laying flat on my back.

"Me too. I didn't know what it meant though. Like I didn't put two and two together." She admits.

I look over at her and she has a small smile resting on her lips. "It's pretty late and I'm getting tired." She says softly. I smile at her and she flips the lamp off.

The rooms dark and I can barely see anything. All I can see is her silhouette.

After I roll back over she comes closer and plans a soft peck on my lips causing the biggest smile to spread across my face.

"Goodnight Grayson." She mutters.

"Goodnight Brooke."

I hope this works out and when we get back home she's all mine. I want this. I've never wanted anything more than this.
