Brooke's POV:
We leave in a couple of days to go see Grayson's family and I haven't packed a single thing.
I plan on packing or at least getting everything together after class today since I don't have to work for once.
Class ends in just a few minutes and I'm trying to think of just what I should take.
As class ends everyone floods out of the lecture hall and I take my time. I take my time to my car also because unlike everyone else I'm not in too big of a hurry.
Yes, it's now officially Christmas break but I'm not that excited about it. If anything I'm nervous.
The whole ride home I found myself thinking about what to take. Should I bring fancy clothes to try and impress them or just regular clothes? Will I need to go shopping?
As I pull into my driveway I let out a sigh and grab my phone and bags.
I fish through my bag for my keys as I walk up to my driveway to my door. I swing my door open and I'm quick to sit my bag on the kitchen counter and I head straight up to my room.
I know I have a suitcase somewhere.
I search my whole closet to find it way in the back and covered by numbers of things. "Thank god." I mutter to myself as I pull it out and fling it onto my mattress causing it to bounce up and down.
I unzip it and push my hair behind my ears as I make my way back to my closet.
Grayson told me it was going to be cold so I'll for sure need to take some sweaters. Some leggings and some jeans. That seems good enough right?
I'm snapped out of my thoughts by my phone buzzing in my back pocket. I let out a sigh and pull my phone out to see that I'm receiving a call from Grayson. A smile immediately forms on my face.
"Hello." I say brightly. I hear him chuckle a bit at my excitement. "You wanna come over?" I know he's smirking. I can just tell because of the tone in his voice.
"I'm actually trying to pack but you can come over. I could use your help." My cheeks heat up. Thank god he can't see them. "I'd love to help. I'll be over in a few." I nod even though he can't see me and the line goes dead.
Sometimes I wish our phone calls were more lovey dovey but then I remember that we're not actually together.
Not wanting to walk all the way down stairs when Grayson gets here I shoot him a text and tell him to just walk in and that I'm in my room.
I smile to myself and shove my phone back into my pocket and continue to sift through my clothes.
A few seconds later I feel Grayson's arms wrap around my waist. He kinda scared my at first but I'm quick to relax into his grasp. "I didn't even hear you come in." I chuckle. He laughs along with me.
"What do you need help with?" He ask looking up at my clothes with me. "I don't know what to take." I sigh and he turns on his heels and goes to look through what's already in my suitcase. "This stuff is perfect." He says referring to my sweaters, leggings, and jeans.
"Really? Do I need anything nicer?" I ask raising my eyebrows. "These are fine. We're just gonna hang out at the house." He said with a smile walking back up to me and pulling me into his chest.
I wrap my arms around his neck and he smirks down at me. "How about we take a break." He grins. I roll my eyes. "We just started."
"It can wait." He mumbles as he closes the space between us and connects our lips and lifts me up. I wrap my legs around his waist with a giggle.
Moments like these really make me wish I wasn't so scared of commitment.
