Third person's POV
There was a rare chill in the wild wind whipping through the humid air of Texas. There was fewer than average pairs of people and their dogs at the park today. A husky, a silver lab, a Doberman and my dog, Juji .Typically there was upwards of twenty people here hourly... there were three people including me. A older lady and a teenage guy in a black hoodie and camo sweatpants. Juji and the silver lab were running around playing with each other and ended up running into a puddle of mud. Well that's fun now isn't it...I look over to see her and the lab prancing around really enjoy herself so I kinda just brush it off. I stood up smiling brightly.
"Hey Juji c'mere!" I called patting my leg happily "come baby" I chirped and before I had time to process it the lab had jumped up a little and Juji was up against my leg both of them covering me in mud. At least I didn't wear the good jeans! I sat on the bench and loved them both and as I looked up the boy in the camo pants ran up running his hands through his hair.
"I am so so sorry about that. Zan cmere." He squatted snapping to get his dogs attention "I'm seriously sorry" Zan happily sat between his leg as and rubbed his face all over the boy's shirt.
"I-uhm it's totally fine" I gestured to the dog hair all over my shirt and pants "it's just part of being a dog mom" I laughed "a little mud doesn't do any damage so don't you worry"
The boy looked up his eyes casually looking me up and down while smiling softly to himself "My names Hayes, This is Zan" He looked down and rubbed Zan's side playfully pushing him around.
"Liberty!" I smiled and sat up for a second "er- in liberty, thats my name" I laughed awkwardly. Okay lib save this awkwardness....JUJI! dogs save all the awkward!! "This is my baby...Juji"
Hayes stood up; sitting next to me after he threw a ball for Zan, which Juji chased too. "Is it usually this empty?" He looked at me as he slipped his phone in his back pocket.... I'm not sure why but the fact he put his phone away and is willing to give me his attention made my heart smile.
"Not at all. There is usually tons of dogs even when it's really freezing. Today's just different I guess" I shrugged lightly and looked around to see a man with a dalmation and a vizsla ....THEY ARE SO CUTE. "Oh my...Hayes look over at the entrance they're so freaking adorable!"
He laughed softly and looked over "go see em. Come on" Hayes stood up taking my hand and smiling brightly.....
And then liberty and Hayes had fun and maybe sorta kinda kissed?
