HAYES GRIERS POV
I glanced around the street taking it all in. The smaller cities are way more beautiful than Los Angeles... I had Zan's leash held lightly in my hand as we walked down the street on our way to the ice cream parlor,I needed something to get my mind off whats been going on lately... I missed her, and as I rounded the corner my heart dropped to my stomach. For a split second I could've sworn she was standing at the corner but I guess I was wrong... This keeps happening and I think I'm going crazy. I sighed and the girl on the corner gave me a weird look which only made this situation worse . As I walked my mind continued to wander through the memories (y/n) and I had made and all the memories we had yet to make... It's still hard to sleep at night, a month and a half later, because I had gotten so used to sleeping next to (y/n). The lack of sleep is really showing recently even the fans have gotten worried. The only way I can get myself to fall asleep is to pretend she's there. Pretend I can hold her which only makes me more heart broken so I try my hardest not to give into it.
The bell rung as I swung the door open zan following closely, naturally I glanced around the parlor and I saw her. My shoulders fell and the was a familiar hollow pain in my chest. It was really (y/n).
" hey could I get a small vanilla ice Cream bowl and a medium toffee cone" I said quietly and I could feel her eyes on me . Zan kept bumping my leg, wagging his tail like a maniac and I just knew he was facing (y/n) ... I glanced down at zan and followed his eyes and sure enough (y/n) sat there... her hair pulled back into a slick pony tail and her phone pressed right in her hand. That's when it happened. The rush of adrenaline through my blood stream making my body shake a little and energy radiate off me. We locked eyes from across the shop and it was so overwhelming. Like I felt everything I had ever felt with her all came back at once. I bit my lip rough as I raised my hand waving a little.

I grabbed my ice cream and walked over my body shaking with energy.
" hey (y/n)? Mind if I sit?" I breathed in quickly not even bothering to hide how nervous I was at this point.
"Uhm yeah...Go ahead Hayes.." (y/n) said as she softly nodded her head and brushed her finger tips across my arm for a second and that adrenaline from earlier spiked again. My heart raced fast than I've ever experienced before. My head started to spin as I sat down setting the cup of ice cream on the floor for zan.
" how've you been Hayes?" Her voice was soft and shy again,like we hadn't met before which broke my heart a little more.
"Uh ya know... zan and I've been just chillin most days?...You?..." I didn't know how to not be awkward. I broke her, but I love her still.
" Hayes I know this is weird. And I know this isn't what's on your mind...I can see it in your eyes" she sighed carefully as I froze mid-lick .
"I-uh... You can tell?" I groaned softly into a small chuckle as I started to smile. " I mean, you're right? I just... I don't wanna try and make you believe me. I know I broke your trust and I know I threw away something amazing... I threw away us and it's killing me... I love you (y/n)... and you don't have to say it back, you don't even have to love me anymore,but I can't stop loving you..." I looked up from my ice cream to see (y/n) sitting there her lips pressed tight against each other her eyes becoming glossy . " I know what I did was wrong ba-...I-I ... I want to fix it but I just can't figure out how to make things better..."
She started to get up. Leaving her bowl on the table, a few tears running down her cheeks. "wait-(y/n)" I quickly stood up in front of her my eye brows furrowed. "I'm-"
My muscles froze for a second before they were brought back to life. Her lips hit mine desperately, her hands cupping my cheeks and pulling me close. My hands snaked around her waist carefully caressing the small of her back as we kissed . Her hand moved carefully from my cheek to the back of my hair allowing her fingertips to entangle themselves in the tips of my hair.
As we pulled away (y/n) kept her forehead pressed to mine, large smiles present on both our faces.
"We'll fix it together hayes. I love you..." She giggled and hugged me tight once again with her arms wrapped around my neck.
" I love you so much baby I missed you" I sighed happily as I buried my face into the crook of her neck. "So much..."
