Day 13 of faking a relationship and so far both parties were hating the attention. Paparazzi swarmed every corner, making it impossible to actually do anything, fans stopped the pair, asking for pictures and autographs. Arabella was missing life as an unknown small town girl from Texas and Luke was solely unhappy because Arabella was unhappy.

After a couple of hours, doing some rounds in downtown Paris, Arabella had had enough attention for the day, feeling physically drained of every ounce of energy she might have had left. So now she lied in the hotel bed, curled up in the sheets, listening to Luke messily strum his guitar while watching French television.

That was an adventure for both, they hadn't communicated much with their band mates and if they got a chance to, it was only on stage because Ian and Mason wanted the two spending as much time together as possible. It was Ian and Mason's way of making sure the two worked on their chemistry and made it appear believable to media.

"Luke?"

"Yeah?" Luke flattened his palm out over the strings of his guitar.

"Do you think we can actually do this? It's a bit lonely and tiring, if you ask me." Arabella pushed off the sheets, suddenly getting hot.

"Lonely? How so? We have each other."

"I miss Haze..." Arabella barely whispered. "I miss Loch, and Jax, and Ricky."

Arabella knew there were a million other things she could be doing at the moment and there were a million other conversations she could be having as well instead of being locked up in a hotel room with Luke, not that it was a bad thing. "And I can't handle all of this attention, it's frightening. I don't understand how anyone could ever get used to such a thing."

"If you want some time for your friends, then by all means take the time...It's really Mase and Ian keeping us together for their own satisfaction." Luke set his guitar on the floor. "Time apart would be nice, it'll keep things fresh between us when we're out in public. And I know you probably need girl time with Haze, so I'm not stopping you."

Arabella had been cautious about bringing the subject up to Luke but he'd been so understanding, almost to the point where she began to think he was feeling the same way.

She padded down the hotel hallway, stopping in front of the room she knew Haze was booked in. She eagerly knocked, waiting a few minutes before Haze opened the door, only slightly, giving herself enough room to stick her head out.

"Well look who's taking a break from lover boy."

"Real funny," Arabella scowled her best friend. "Are you gonna let me in or are you gonna make me stand in the hallway and have a conversation with me?"

"The second...?" Haze gave a sympathetic smile.

"You're hiding something!" Arabella smiled in amusement, biting her lip. "What are you hiding?" She tried looking the small space Haze had above her head but was only met with the beige colored wall.

"I'm not hiding anything, Ara!"

"Why'd take you so long to answer the door?" She crossed her arms, lifting an eyebrow. "Hm?"

"I was...naked? Yup, I was naked!"

"Bullshit, it's not like we've never seen each other naked before!"

Haze stood contemplating her next words.

"What are you hiding Haze?" Arabella was going to pry this out of Haze even if she died in the process.

"Haze? Babe? Where's my shirt?" An Australian accent caused Arabella to jump slightly before she came to the realization.

"You dirty whore!" Arabella cackled, getting an eye roll out of Haze who finally opened the door all the way to let her friend in. She locked eyes with Ashton who began stuttering and looking around the room for his shirt. Arabella stood shaking her head in one part disbelief and one part because she knew this was happening, everyone knew the two were hooking up. Both bands knew it was happening but they were waiting for Ashton and Haze to admit it. "Your shirt's by the nightstand."

"It's not what you think, Arabella." Ashton pulled his shirt on and adjusted his pants before buttoning them up with his shaking hands.

"We all knew."

"What?" The two looked dumbfounded.

"Almost every room you two leave together is left musky and you guys aren't very good at the discreet little touches when you're around us. It's obvious." Arabella shrugged, opting for a seat on the desk chair instead of the bed because she didn't know what bodily fluids were lingering on the sheets.

"Shit." Haze muttered, combing out her hair anxiously in the mirror.

"Loch is going to be pissed once he finds out it's true." Arabella bolstered her feet on the given desk, locking her fingers together behind her head. "This is the juiciest bit of news I've heard all day!"

"You can't tell Loch...Th-that's the last person you should tell." Haze's wide eyes darted to Arabella with a pleading look in them.

"I won't tell him, you have my word."

Haze sighed, thankful Arabella wasn't going to bribe her into something.

"Just tell me, is there anything more I should know about? Are you two a thing?"

"No." They both retorted quickly, it almost came out defensively.

"We just thought it would be a good idea, seeing as we're on tour together and we care about each other a lot in a friend perspective, so why not make each other feel good at any hour of any given day?" Ashton sat at the foot of the bed, ruffling his fingers through his hair.

"Like friends with benefits?"

"Exactly." Ashton nodded.

Arabella busted into laughter, hunching over while holding her stomach. Ashton and Haze shared a puzzled look because of Arabella abrupt change in attitude.

"We all know those things don't work!" She waved her hand off at her friends. "Call me when one of you ends up developing feelings for the other." She marched her way out of the room, still laughing her head off. She was never one to say I told you so, but this would likely be the time for her to say it.
