October 5, 1984 - Las Vegas
"Belle? I have a surprise for you!" Luke knocked on the dressing room door.
She swung the door open to see a dark colored curly haired boy standing next to Luke. "Is a threesome the surprise? It's not even my birthday...you still have a good two months till that..." She tilted her head to the side, taking in the boy's appearance and highly considering a threesome if that was what was being offered. "If you bring him back in two months I'll be up for it."
"ARABELLA!" Luke scolded and the boy next to him chuckled with his hands shoved in either of his pockets.
"If we take that off that silly scarf around his neck, I think this could work." She continued observing him. "He could even tie you up with it, yeah Luke?"
"This is highly embarrassing, I am so sorry." Luke said in a desperate tone to the guy.
"It's alright." The guy spoke in a British accent.
"Arabella, this is Harry Styles. Harry, this is Arabella, she's in Kosmic." Luke's hands gestured between them as he skipped to introductions.
"I knew you looked oddly familiar." She shook Harry's hand. "Nice to meet you."
"Equally." He smirked, probably hoping to make Arabella swoon but she wasn't falling for that. She heard all the stories about the grand Harry Styles. He could have any girl drooling over him. Arabella wasn't going to be one of those girls. She wasn't that easy. Arabella didn't mesh well with his kind in the music world. The pretty, playboy, that dressed nicely, and knew he was too cute for his own good. She hated the cocky type. The more humble a person was the better chances they had of being her friend.
"Right," Luke clapped his hands together. "Harry has a favor to ask, do you think you could get the band together for this?"
"Uh, yeah..." The other four were standing on the roof of the venue, checking out the Vegas skyline because it sounded better than staying in a dressing room with a bunch of people they were already sick of seeing.
"How'd they get access to the roof?" Luke paced beside me, Harry following closely behind us.
"The Lord only knows."
"They probably sneaked the key from security. I used to do it a lot." Harry chimed in. He was so quiet, Arabella forgot he was even walking behind them.
"Sounds like something they would do."
"They're a crazy bunch." Luke warned.
"Nothing I can't handle." Everything Harry let slip from his mouth sounded so cool, so mysterious. He could probably read the nutrition facts from the back of a soda can and make it sound like the coolest thing.
The door was being held open by a brick, most likely in case one of them lost the key, which would not surprise any of them at all. Loch was kicking rocks as he walked back and forth, holding his phone to his ear, obviously trying to reach Jade. Haze was admiring the sky that was several warm colors due to the sun setting. Ricky and Jax were trying to capture that perfect photo of the sunset to add to a tour scrapbook they wanted to start.
"We have a visitor." Arabella announced, causing each of them to turn and stop what they were doing. Haze looked like she just saw the ghost of Janis Joplin right in front of her as she looked to Arabella's right where Harry was standing. "Haze? You good?"
"Y-yeah..." She scratched her forehead, breaking eye contact with Harry, who looked suspicious towards Haze's attitude. "Just feeling a little lightheaded that's all. I'll be fine."
"So, go ahead and present your idea to them..." Luke encouraged.
"I have an older sister...her birthday is in December and she's really into you guys." Harry shifted uncomfortably on his feet. "I was wondering if I could hire you guys to perform at the birthday party I'm throwing her...?"
"Yes!" Loch, Jax, Ricky, and Arabella said in unison to Haze's dull, "No."
"I mean...yeah...I guess so..." Haze's face flushed a dark red, which was better to see rather than the pale color she had not too long ago. "If you'll excuse me..." She bolted past everyone, disappearing behind the door. It was one odd thing after another with Haze on this tour.
"It's four against one, and majority rules so we'll definitely do it." Loch nodded his head.
"She's gonna love this." Harry's eyes beamed. "I can't wait to see her face."
"Jesus Christ, you guys!" Ian appeared on the roof, looking visibly upset that they were on the roof an hour before the show was going to start instead of warming up. "You go on in an hour! Get your asses inside!"
"Our people will get in touch." Ricky shook Harry's hand. Ricky along with Jax and Loch walked off to get ready.
"Is your friend okay?" Harry's eyebrows knitted together.
"I wish I knew the answer to that." Haze forgave Arabella for the little slip-up but she was still tense around her and even the guys. No one really knew what was wrong with her because she refused to speak on her emotions.
"Maybe she was starstruck?" Luke added, but that was a long shot. Haze was never starstruck. Luke gave Arabella a look of realization. "Holy shit, GEMMA!"
"That's my sister...?" Harry said, confused.
"Are you serious?!" She practically shouted, despite the feeling of her stomach in her throat. "Fuck."
"What's going on? What did I miss?" He looked between Luke and Arabella.
"Haze and Ashton had a thing, Haze caught Ashton with Gemma while Haze was pre- nevermind, that's not important." Luke almost let it slip about Haze's pregnancy but thankfully caught himself. Spilling about someone's pregnancy wasn't a good way to catch up with someone you hadn't seen in awhile. "Haze is sensitive on the Gemma topic and even more so when it comes to Ashton. There's stuff that happened that I can't tell you because it's not right of me, but yeah..." He rambled on for the most part, taking no breaths in between his words until he reached the end of his sentence.
Things just kept getting more and more fucked up and it was making Arabella anxiously await the end of this tour. It had messed with all of them greatly.
