I walked into homeroom and sat on one of the black tables. Carl, Aria, and Nicole were already there. "Crap, uh Sara assist me here! These people suck and refuse"
I looked down at the paper she was working on. "Will you ever do you're homework?"
"Probably not... now give me assistance!" She demanded.
"Fine, what problem are you on?"
"Number 9: How did Joan of Ark die?"
"Dude you're looking at the page that's on!" I stated and Aria raised her eyebrows at me "So apparently you're not going to read it. She was, oh so pleasantly, burned at the stake."
"Gross." she pulled back her long brown hair and wrapped it up into a bun.
I rolled my eyes at her. Nicole butted in "Why don't you just do your homework? Especially history? It's not that hard."
"Yeah it's really not." Carl interjected.
Aria shot a look at him "Would you like to do it for me Nicki How about you Carl?" Aria remarked sarcastically. Nicki would never cheat like that, she's even more of a goody-two-shoes than I am. And Carl... He just didn't like doing more work than he had to.
Izzy scurried into the room and dropped her books on the table. "I hate my parents right now!"
"Mind if we ask why?"
"Well last night I was doing homework, HOMEWORK, and they told me to stop because it was annoying. Then this morning I didn't wake up at my alarm and they did. Did they think to wake me up? NO! I woke up 15 minutes ago!" she tugged at her blonde hair.
Bridgett walked into the room "I don't know what's going on but, Iz, you need to calm down. Your eyes look like they're going to pop out of your head."
Bridgett went to stand next to Carl "Look at the lovebirds being all cute!" Aria teased them. Everybody knew they liked each each other.
"Shut up Aria! Where's your other half?" Bridgett winked at her.
"Hiding" Aria smirked and then went back to her homework.
"Carl you're as red a a firetruck? Did you eat a hot pepper...?" I teased him. I knew it wasn't very nice, but I was just joking with him.
"You look pretty pale Sara. Did a vampire bite you? It would explain your mood!" I scowled at him. If only he knew why I was actually pale. He wouldn't tease me, but he didn't so I couldn't blame him.
I bared my teeth and hissed at him "It might explain mine but what about yours?" Izzy laughed at my comeback.
"Sara sorry to burst your bubble but you are totally not cool enough to be a vampire." She smiled at me.
"Gee, Thanks Iz, I'll remember that when you're on your deathbed, I REFUSE TO SAVE YOU!" If only there was a way to save me from my death bed.
The loudspeaker cracked and Mr. Derr began the announcements. How was it possible that only around 20 minutes had gone by since walking into this building? It was going to be a long day.
