Eating before chemo, is a huge mistake. Everything in my stomach was soon on its way down to the sewage system.
I was throwing up on the side of the road all the way home. The trip took 3 hours instead of two because of my constant puking.
After emptying everything possible from my stomach and even dry heaving a little, I changed into sweats and curled up on the couch.
My golden retriever came up and sniffed my head. I turned slightly and he licked my face. "Good boy." I smiled weakly at him.
God, I was hungry. I guess that's what happens when you throw up everything in your stomach.
I groaned and got up from the couch, heading towards the kitchen. I opened up every single cupboard and found nothing that seemed appealing.
My phone lit up and I padded over to grab it. The message was from Anna;
*hey beyotch! what's happening?"* I laughed at the text. Only Anna.
*well I have a busy social life and all so lots is happening jk.. uhg I have no food in my house!* I pressed send and sat down on the couch.
*order pizza* I rolled my eyes.
*i also happen to be broke..*
*sucks for you ;P* I didn't have a headache, for once, so I turned on the TV.
*aren't you just the nicest person?*
*thats me! I gtg eat.. ttyl sara!*
I locked my phone and threw it on the charger.
I sighed. I had no idea what channel or show was on the TV so I grabbed the remote to change it. Absolutely nothing was on so I settled for good, old Disney Channel.
I don't know the name of the show but it was pretty stupid. No wonder kids are so easily entertained, these are the shows that rot their brains at least when I was younger the stupid shows actually taught you things.
Inevitably my headache came back so I turned off the TV just as my mom walked through the door with loads of grocery bags. "Get off your butt and help me" she teased.
I groaned "Head hurts. Can't."
"Suck it up!" She put the bags on the counter and went back outside to grab more.
"So considerate" I muttered as I slipped on a pair of Toms and headed outside.
The fresh Cape Cod air was cold, it was after all October. So naturally it would be cold here. "Please tell me you got something yummy?" I asked my mom.
"Yummy by my standards or yours?" She answered my questions with questions all the time.
"Mine. Obviously." I said as I grabbed bags I rolled my eyes.
"Maybe" she winked at me and I stomped back inside, it was too cold outside for this cancer patient.
