Three days later I had become sick of watching TV all the time. Kyle offered to play scrabble with me but I refused. It seemed fun, but I wanted to avoid him.
I had seen, or met, Aria, Anna, Bridgett, and Nicole. I had come to the conclusion that I hung out with weird people.
But I could see the advantage, they were fun.
When they saw my bald head each of them gasped. I guess I had this really big, untamable mass of blonde hair. Huh. I would have never thought. Not having hair seemed... normal.
When Aria and Anna had come to visit the first thing Aria did was ask if Harold was being a 'good ducky'.
Anna didn't act like anything was different about me. She filled me in on her boyfriend, Bridgett and Carl, how a guy in our school had gotten caught with pot in his locker.
How stupid could some people be?
I couldn't bring myself to tell them that I might still die, but I suspected they already knew.
I apparently hadn't told them that I had cancer in the first place, so me being admitted to the hospital and getting brain surgery came as a huge surprise.
Bridgett talked mainly about Carl. Apparently we got on each other's nerves, a lot. She told me that Nicole, another friend, had won her gymnastics competition and completely freaked out, she even cried.
She told me about how fun the most recent school dance was.
I wish I remembered more about all these people. They seemed awesome, and weird. And even though I hardly knew them, I knew that I loved my friends.
