Ava
As Ava walked away from him she silently cursed herself. She should know better than to deal with the likes of Devin, for a second she had thought she'd seen a real person underneath all that womanising veneer. Her attraction to him was unlike anything she had ever felt before and left her feeling a little out of control, she had no idea how to proceed from this point on. Or rather she had had no idea how to proceed, up until the second he spoke those distasteful and demeaning words to her.
Had it been done in jest or under different circumstances, perhaps she could have laughed it off, however as it stood right now she had seen the intent behind those words. He was purposefully trying to push her buttons and push her away. Quite frankly, she did not have the time or emotions to deal with frustrating little boys who gave sinfully good kisses.
Now that she was alone, she could admit to herself that a part of her had been very fascinated with the idea of having him as a distraction from much bigger issues. Namely, her brother and sister. How was one supposed to approach that situation? Especially when one had spent her entire life avoiding making deep connections with people, they were family.
Looking at the pictures of Araceli and Junior she had felt tears well up in her eyes. She thought of what it would have been like to have people who shared some of the same DNA as herself growing up. Right now all she wanted to do was find her dorm and get settled in so she could plan her next steps.
Around her there were students seated in groups on the lawn and a few roamed the hallways. Her eyes danced from person to person, trying to fully absorb her surroundings and hoping that nobody knew about her shenanigans in the hall. What would Ronald say if she were to get expelled over something so silly. She felt a deep yearning to impress him, make him proud of her. Her behaviour thus far had been deplorable! Detention for two bloody months and after school forced prep with juniors. That would leave little room for much else. Hopefully she could redeem herself.
Tyrells' was a stately school with a gorgeous landscape. There was an abundant amount of green and vibrant grass, the array of colours on the neatly trimmed hedges that bordered the property danced in the sun's light, lightening her spirits.
The grounds housed Olympic sized hockey fields, swimming pools and tennis courts that could be seen as she'd entered the school in the car Ronald had hired for her. Ava took a minute to observe the beautiful green valley she found herself in. There was so much open space and it made her feel free as she closed her eyes and impulsively twirled around, promptly bumping into someone.
"Watch where you're going retard." spat a beautiful raven haired blue eyed beauty. As Ava turned towards the girl who had now side-stepped her, she froze her eyes as wide as saucers.
"Oh shit Ari," laughed a blonde girl to her side, "she may really be an actual live retard, look at her just staring at you. Pick up her books you loser."
