I sat and watched as Frank and Wen introduced themselves to Alisa and they were chatting away happily. I smiled, finally a little bit of normal happening. I guess if you ignore all the sounds of the dead outside and the fact that if you really think about it we are all strangers. Rose pulled me from my thoughts by stepping in front of me, "I'm heading out and before you ask I'm going alone" I answered with a simple nod, who was I to tell her that she couldn't leave. "Just be safe please, don't go grabbing things, we will make a run tomorrow." Rose flashed me a smile "yeah yeah, See you in 20." I watched her leave and walked over to Alisa and sat down changing the subject of what they were talking about. "so what happened to that nice base of yours?" Alisa looked up at me and smirked "I got bored" she laughed "I should of come along for the adventure with you guys when I had the chance" I smiled, we could of used her along the way but I guess we wouldn't be where we are now if she hadn't of turned the offer down all those months ago. Was it months? It felt like it had been years since the start of this horrid nightmare. "So are we a team then?" I hoped she would say yes, this is the type of group I want, nothing like who we were with before. All smart, all trained. Alisa scoffed "Well I'm obviously not going far like this" pointing at her leg. I laughed, "You'll live, you said it yourself"

We fell back into silence and Alisa went back to sleep, both wen and frank then went up onto the roof so I left them to it. I just found myself waiting for Rose to come back. Not too long later Rose eventually made it back with some supplies. "You said you weren't going on a run otherwise I would have come with you." I said as she handed me the bag full of cans, I think. "Yeah yeah, it's dangerous, I know, you said." She waved her hand like it was nothing "I didn't plan to, I just stumbled upon a house, you know" she paused "after being chased into it by a crowd of dead. Ha-ha" what was she thinking?! "Oh my god rose! What the hell" I half screamed "You could have got yourself killed and we wouldn't have known anything!" ugh she was so reckless. "Can't die REMEMBER, plus I can handle myself." She scoffed as she walked into the next room muttering under her breath "I did survive somehow after you killed me off pfft."

I wasn't in the mood for her childish behaviour so I just left her alone. I went up to the roof to find Wen and tapped her shoulder. "Can we talk?" she nodded. "Hey frank, can we have a minute alone?" I smiled at him. "Sure thing! See you Wen" he smiled and waved before making his way back inside. "phew its chilly tonight" I said as I felt the cold breeze tickle my skin. "Did you talk to Rose?" Wen asked. "Sort of, she shouldn't be a problem, we are strong now. We should be fine." I hoped anyway, all I can do is hope. Where we go is another question which I voiced to Wen. "Maybe we should just keep going, no plan and no place. Just move to survive and see where it takes us." I smiled at Wen, she always did have a way to make things seem so simple. I guess it could be that way. I mean one day this will all sort itself out right?

"I guess this is the start of our journey to nowhere then." We laughed, but both of us knew that this journey, wherever it takes us, will be hell.
