The Apocalypse

Stealth attack (Edited)

So we took off in the direction of the field going right through another little alleyway, it felt like the longest time ever even though the alleyway was quite small, Rose and I didn't say a word. As we got to the end of the alleyway there was a gate, it wasn't very big, just something to keep the animals out. You know stray cats, foxes that kind of thing, but they were definitely not built to keep the zombies out. You could see that by the way the gate was hanging off its hinges where something had obviously barged through it. Just by seeing this I knew that something was going to happen in this field that something was out in this field. I pushed the gate open and walked through; I took a quick look around and spotted a couple of idle zombies in the far corner of the field. No problem, we can just make a run for it and hide behind the wall that separated the field from the football section. "Okay Rose, we make a straight sprint all the way over to the wall and then we will go through to the main building." I said pointing towards the wall and then the main building. "And avoid stepping on anything that will make any noise." I said noticing a couple of bits of rubbish spread over the field. Well this is it, time to run like you never have before melody. As if talking to myself would help. I looked at rose and she was very pale but nodded in agreement that she understood what we were going to do. "Ready? 3 2 1 go!" I whispered just before I set of running, dodging around the bits of rubbish that I could see in front of me. It was a good thing the ground wasn't muddy otherwise I would be on the floor by now.

I skidded to a stop behind the wall with rose slamming into me I hit the wall and all the air was pushed out of me, struggling to catch my breath; I looked around the side at the zombies. They were still there; luckily they didn't notice us running through the field. Well then only a little bit more to go, I look over to the doors of the main building that we would have to go through and noticed that there was two zombies there. I guess our luck ended there. "Melody look." Rose pointed at the zombies that I just noticed, but what I didn't see that they were eating something or someone. Disgusting. Well at least they were distracted and we could hopefully kill them without being noticed. I looked at Rose and pulled out my knife, I gave her one and held mine ready. And we were off again running; hopefully rose got what I was aiming for because I didn't have time to explain, I just ran. As we were approaching them I slowed down so I didn't make any noise, I looked at Rose and she had her knife at the ready. Good. I ran as fast as I could at the zombie that was feeding on the ground and jumped on its back and brought my knife around to the side of its neck, pushing with so much force the zombies head rolled of it neck and onto the ground.
