i worked super hard on all the main details :D

I fell backwards and landed on my bum, watching the zombie come running towards me, I looked for my knives and found them sitting in other zombie’s heads. I closed my eyes and lifted my hands to try and protect myself knowing that it will only lead to one thing. Everything seemed to go silent; I didn’t hear the booming of Rose using the shotgun. I still heard the zombies but they were getting quieter. All of a sudden there was a heavy weight on me and I opened my eyes wide in horror. I saw the zombie that had been running towards me, laying on top of me with a knife in its head. I looked around to make sure that Rose was alright but saw 2 girls fighting like there was no tomorrow, which there wouldn’t be if they hadn’t come along. I saw one with an axe, swinging it around her head and slicing a zombies head right off its neck. The other one just stood in one place throwing knives and each time it landed exactly where she wanted it to, killing the zombie.

All the zombies now lay dead on the floor of this roof with Rose and I thanking the 2 girls for their help. I couldn’t help myself and I wanted to keep me and Rose safe. “Are you infected?” I asked them both, probably sounding ruder than I was meant to. The girl who had thrown the knives looked at me with so much hate and pointed a knife at me. “Bitch please! Would I have just saved your arses if I was infected?” she screamed at me. Gosh! I was only asking a question, Rose stepped forward and said “I believe your friend there helped you.” I smiled at Rose’s comment. The girl looked as if she was going to explode with anger. “You have the cheek to ask if I’m infected!” she looked at me. “Your friend doesn’t look to healthy and by the colour of her skin she is in the process of turning!” she finished her rant and looked between me and Rose, waiting for one of us to speak up. “She is …. Ill.” I tried to lie but they saw right through it. “We don’t care, as long as you deal with her once she turns, keep a close eye on her at all times and if she hurts or kills anyone, we will kill her and then you. Got it?” she shouted at us. I let out a breath I hadn’t realised I had been holding as I realised they wouldn’t kill Rose. The girl with the axe stepped forward and smiled. “Hi, my name is Wendy but you can call me Wen.” I shook her hand and looked at her.

Wen had sharp hazel eyes and her hair was cut short and spiked from the side, her hair was also as dark as ink. She had a long pink scar that travelled down her tanned skinned cheek. She was skinny, with curves in all the right places. If I was a guy, I would totally go out with her. She also rocked a black leather jacket and jeans with a pair of knee high black army boots. She looked like a total badass! I could see her axes details from far away, they were hard to miss. Along the handle there were red flames carved into the wood, the blade had circle patterns trailing along it, getting smaller the further along the blade went. What looked really cool was that it was a double sided axe.

Wen walked over to Rose and shook her hand as well, and then her friend came over to me. “The names Nicol.” She gave me a dirty look and shook my hand. Nicol had dark green eyes with long brown hair that was tied in a bun on top of her head. She had light skin with a couple of scars here and there, showing she had been through a lot. She was wearing a blue pair of skinny jeans, vans and a simple black T-shirt that said ‘Don’t mess with me!’. She had a large belt around her waist which had small knives sitting inside, giving her easy access to them. “Hey.” I said to both of them as Nicol refused to shake Rose’s hand because she was infected.

“So… we have a group, back at the main building. We were out looking for supplies and we were on our way back.” Wen said to us, offering us to go with them. “Sure, we would love to come with you.” I said smiling, and looked over at rose as she nodded. I guess we were now with them …
