Skylar and I sat outside James' bedroom door.

James and Sarah were arguing.

"Can I go in there and punch him please?" I was angry.

"Ssshhh." She said. "We don't want them to know we're listening."

"Well he shouldn't be yelling at my sister like that." I whispered. "I'm not going to let that mistake happen again."

-Flash Back-

"You shouldn't be talking to other guys!" Sean yelled.

"Gabe is just a friend." Davynah said.

"I don't care!" Sean yelled back at her. "You don't talk to other guys."

I sat outside the door listening to them fight. With every bone in my body, I wanted to go in.

"Sean I can talk to guys if I want to." She said. "Because I'm with you."

"I'll kill the next guy you talk to."

"Why is it such a big deal?" She asked.

"You just can't talk to guys."

"So I can't talk to guys, but you can go and kiss whoever you want?"

The room went quiet.

"When? When was I kissing other girls?" He asked.

"Last night." She said. "I saw you."

"That was my cousin." He said.

"So we're kissing cousins now?" She asked.

"Shut up." Sean argued.

"No." She said.

I heard a hard clap. And at that moment I knew he slapped my sister.

I opened the door.

I pushed him.

"Stay out of this." Sean said pushing me.

"No!" I punched him in the face. "You never touch my sister like that."

He punched me and pushed me out of the room.

"Davynah!" I yelled into the room.

"Dillan! Just go!" She yelled back.

Sean slammed the door and locked it.

I tried breaking down the door...but it was useless.
He already beat up my sister.

-End of Flash Back-

She was scared of him. But at the same time she loved him with every peice of life she had. She forgave him for all that happened. But I could never. I could also never forgive myself for letting it happen.

That whole week my sister asked me to not say anything about what happened. But so much pain flowed through my body because I had to see her everyday with all of those scars on her face.

Whenever my dad asked what happened, she'd lie and say she fell down the stairs at school.

But everytime she had to lie about it, hurt me more.

"I'm telling you now Sky, if I hear him touch her I will go in there."

"Okay." She said.

"I'll go." We heard James say.

We ran over to the little corner and hid behind some of his little sister's life size bears.

He walked down the stairs.
