(Sarah)

I woke up. Dillan and Kaleb weren't in my room anymore. Their blankets were folded already.

I got up and got ready for school.

I walked over to the mirror.

A big black mark was on my face.

I then went and took a shower.

-Time Skip-

I slipped on Jack's big white hoodie that he gave me when it was raining one day.

I put on my Black tights.

I pulled my hair back into two dutch braids.

I grabbed my phone off the counter.

I walked downstairs.

My family sat at the table.

I sat down. The stack of pancakes in front of me. The room was silent.

"Oh my gosh Sarah what happened to your cheek!?" Skylar asked.

"Thank you for the food." I said standing up.

"But you haven't even tooken a bight yet." Caden examined the stack of pancakes.

"You can have it."

I pushed the pancakes towards him.

"Sarah..." My mom began.

"Just leave me alone mom." I said.

I walked outside.

I sat down on the doorstep.

(Skylar)

"Was it something I said?" I asked.

Kaleb grabbed my arm and pulled me to his room.

"What!?" I said.

"Dad slapped Sarah this morning." He said.

"What the heck!? Why!?"

"Mom and Sarah were in an argument about coming home late, and then dad jumped in."

"Yeah and??"

"Then Sarah was like your not my dad, and she said something about mom not telling her dad that she was pregnant with her siblings."

"And that's when Dad slapped her?"

"Yeah."

I shook my head.

"Well, what did mom do?" I asked.

"Well, she banged on Sarah's door for a while, then left."

"Sarah can't go to school with that big mark on her face." I explained.

"I don't think Sarah wants to go to school." He said.

"What do you mean?"

"Jack leaves on tour today." He pointed out. "And moms not letting her see him ever again."

"She does understand that she is slowly killing Sarah?"

"Who knows?"

"It's true. Sarah moved here to bring a smile on her face, but mom is just making that smile run away."

"Well, that smile is most likely getting his stuff on the bus to get going."

"Jack are you ready?" Daniel called.

"Yeah."

I ran downstairs.

"Do you think we have enough time to visit Sarah?" I asked.
