So Thursday came quicker than I wanted it to and right now I'm driving to my school with Dad, Val, and Rhett. I was the only one that bothered to get up earlier than they needed to and say bye to Rhett. Considering the fact that it's still dark out and it's 6:00, I wouldn't even expect Bradley and Parker to even know what 6:00 in the morning looked like. Bradley and Parker have ignored me this whole week and have only acknowledged me when Val is around.
We pulled into the school's parking lot and got out. "Text me whenever Brad and Park are being assholes." He told me. "If I did that, your phone would be constantly blowing up." I said. He laughed and put me in a headlock. He noogied me and I groaned. "Don't get too beat up while I'm gone." He said letting me go. "Well enjoy your vacation from the assholes because as soon as you get back I'm sure they'll try to murder you for leaving them with me." I replied. He laughed and said goodbye to Dad and Val.
He walked towards his friends and started talking to them. Dad, Val and I went back to the car and I noticed Rhett left his earbuds on the backseat. I told Val and Dad who told me to go give them to him. I walked over to him and got more nervous with every step I took. I've never met any of his friends before. I've only met Bradley and Parker's friends and they are all really intimidating. I tapped him on the back and he turned around.
"You forgot these." I told him looking down and handing his earbuds to him. "Thanks, Lee." He replied taking them and slinging his arm around my shoulders. "Guys this is Levi. He's my stepbrother but nobody can know so don't tell anyone. If anybody asks he's my cousin." Levi tells his friends. "Lee, this is Wesley but you can call him Wes. This is Ford, Grant, and Cruz." Rhett introduced me. They all said "Hey." And I just waved.

"Okay, Lee. I don't want you to get stepped on by all the tall people so I'll walk you back to the car." He told me. I nodded and he said to his friends "I'll be back in a sec."
He took his arm off my shoulder and we walked back to the car. "Have fun." I told him. "Thanks, you too. And don't die. I was just starting to like you." He replied. I laughed and he said "Remember; lay low. Don't talk to them unless you have to." I nodded and he walked back to his friends.
I got in the car where Val and dad were waiting and dad started driving. "So how about we go get donuts? Just the three of us? You up for that, Levi?" Val asked me. "Of course I am! Who in their right mind would turn down donuts?" I answered. She laughed along with Dad and we pulled into Tim Horton's. We got out and I practically ran to the door. "Lee, wait for us please." Dad told me. "Who knew someone could have this much energy in the morning?" Val laughed. I laughed too and we went inside. We each got a chocolate glazed donut and sat down at a table. "So Lee, how are the boys treating you?" Val asked me. I knew this question was coming so I already had an answer ready. "Better than before. Probably since they got grounded. Rhett's the nicest though." I answered and took a bite of my donut.
