Levi's P.O.V.
Today is Thursday and my birthday is in a week from today and I'm dreading it.
I don't need people to make a big fuss over me. It's not a big deal to me because there are better things to celebrate.
Parker and Bradley have really warmed up to me these past few weeks.
And by that I mean they haven't beat me up that bad if at all.
I haven't really talked with them or hung out with them which is probably why.
Not that I ever hung out with them before but you know what I mean.
Rhett, Parker and Bradley are all on the football team and they have a game tomorrow. Usually when they have a football game I just stay home and enjoy being away from them. Dad or Val always go to watch and sometimes they both go.
Today the boys had a football meeting during lunch and I was finishing up my math test.
I finished and gave it to my teacher.
"Thank you, Levi. Enjoy your lunch."She said.
"Thank you Mrs. Dale. You too." I replied.
I walked out the door and put my stuff in my locker.
I grabbed my lunch money and started walking.
As I was walking, I got pushed down.
I looked up to see Tanner Reynolds.
I got up and tried to walk away but he grabbed the collar of my shirt.
"Hey shitface." He smirked.
"L-Leave me alone Tanner." I said.
"W-What's wrong? Ya scared?" He mocked.
"I said leave me alone." I repeated.
"I'm sorry, but I can't do that." He said fake apologetically.
I tried to push his hand off of me but he grabbed my hand.
He let go of my collar and twisted my arm behind my back.
"Ow! Let me go." I said.
"Why? You gonna cry? Come on crybaby, cry for me. Come on cry!" He taunted.
I don't know what came over me but I kicked my leg backwards and hit him where the sun don't shine. Well, at least I tried to. I ended up missing and hitting his leg.
"Did you just kick me?" He asked letting my arm go and pushed me to the ground.
"I-I'm sorry." I said backing up.
"Yeah, you're gonna be." He smirked grabbing the collar of my shirt.
He pulled me up and punched me in the stomach.
He punched me in the nose and in the eye. AGAIN!
I winced in pain and started coughing.
"Oh, what's wrong? Is the baby gonna cry?" He smirked.
I kicked him in the shin and he laughed.
"That was weak. JUST like you." He said.
"Here, let me show you what a good kick looks like." He smirked and kicked my leg.
I shrieked and held my leg.
He laughed and said "See, that's what a good kick looks like."
He was about to punch me again when somebody grabbed his fist.
I looked up to see Parker.
"Let him go Tanner." Parker said.
"No." Tanner scoffed.
"I said let him go." Parker demanded through gritted teeth.
Tanner let me go and pushed me towards Bradley and Rhett who were standing a few feet away from us.
Parker grabbed Tanner by his shirt and dragged him outside.
Rhett and Bradley followed them and Bradley dragged me along. Bradley let me go when we got outside and went over to Parker to beat up Tanner.
"Are you okay?" Rhett asked me.
I nodded and he went over to beat up Tanner.
I sat down on the grass and looked at my face in the camera of my phone.
My nose was bleeding and my face was red. My whole body hurt and I cried for a few minutes but stopped since I started getting a headache.
I could hear Tanner screaming in pain and pleading for forgiveness.
"I'm sorry! I promise I won't do it again!" He said.
Bradley brought him over to me and told Tanner "Do you have something to say to Levi?"
"I-I'm sorry. I won't come near you ever again." He said to me.
I stood up and looked at him.
I knew I'd never get an opportunity to do this again, so I punched him in the face.
He screamed in pain and I hit him again in the nose.
He held his nose and I said "Don't deal what you can't take."
