"Kyra."

"Kyra."

I jolt awake, my hazel eyes widening as I realize the voice I was hearing didn't come from my dream.

"I think I might have found a way out, but...you have to trust me. "Icel spoke quickly and quietly.

I sat up, looking into the darkness as I responded, "Okay. I'm in."

I didn't have much time to think about this, it seemed as if it was urgent. This might be my only chance, damn the consequences.

"Take my hand."

"I can't see your hand."

I felt a warm hand slip into mine as he helps me up from the cave floor.

My sight flooded back to me, everything clear to me.

"We have to go." He looks around as if something was going to pop out at him. His anxiety matches my very own at this moment.

My breath catches in my throat, and my voice comes out in a exasperated sigh. Anything could be wrong, but if he wanted to save me, obviously there was something wrong.

I trail behind Icel as we hurriedly walked through the caves. I gape at everything, but that would be because I had never had a view of the chambers like I do now. Since that one time encounter with Icel, but even then, I didn't see everything.

I saw deep gorges in the walls, sediments chipped away in the holes. The holes themselves were filled with crystals that came in every color imaginable.

I hear Icel in front of me mutter under his breath, his voice sounding annoyed.

Then I hear the most horrid, screeching noise I have ever heard come from the back of the cave.

"We are almost there. I need you to follow my instructions...listen carefully."

"I need you to concentrate on getting through the wall...it's confusing to explain...but believe that you will get through the wall. I'm going to help you, because my abilities...hopefully will work for this. It's the only option we have, and..." He looks around again, anxious. "The only way you will be able to survive."

I felt like I wasn't breathing, my head swarming. How was I supposed to do this? There is no way I can get "through" a wall.

"Breathe. You can do it."

We came to a stop, and Icel says, "Ok. Now or never."

The screeching got closer, the sound echoing off the walls.

I hyperventilated, my heart beating as loud as a drum. I'm going to die this way. Whatever is behind us will surely kill me because I cannot just "believe" I can get through a wall.

Icel looked to me, eyes wide.

He breathed, "It's behind you. Come on, if we wait one more second..."

Okay. I can get through with Icel, he has the ability to get me through. I took one more breath before I pushed through the wall and opened up a new world.

He lets go of my hand as we reach through, I didn't need his sight anymore. Even though the blinding light made it hard to see. My head instantly throbbed, the light penetrating my senses. When I could finally see, I gasp.

The water was translucent, the mountains reflecting onto the reflective pool. The grasses billowed around it, the towering trees on the edge where it stopped growing. There was no litter, or anything to stop the beauty that was shown all across the landscape.

That's when I notice a teenager about my age, leaning against a tree, filing her nails. Her beauty was almost as beautiful as this world. I must be day dreaming. Her long blond hair flowed with her curves, her eyes a startling icy blue.

"You could have told me that you were bringing someone along."

"I don't have to tell you anything." He mutters under his breath, "brat."

"Tidlewig."

He turns to me and says, "And before you ask. We aren't toge..."

She breaks him off and says, "Because I'm gayyyy."

Wow. How did I get this lucky? Well, actually, I wouldn't say lucky because...well I'm me.

"Names' Rina. Now wash up, we have to move." She walks away, sass written all over her body.

Icel turns to me and simply says, "Sorry." He chuckles, then walks away.

And I was left by myself to wash up in the illusionary pool in this unlikely fantasy.
