Winner Gets The Lady

Icel launches himself at Rina, and they both tumble like tumbleweed. I almost thought they would wrestle, like you would see with siblings or close friends, but obviously not. It seemed like at least one of them would have a concussion from all the blows from the other, but they looked perfectly fine. Like they do this on a regular basis.

Rina swings down, and lands an elbow to his face as Icel throws an uppercut to her jaw. Icel then does a bob weave, and lands a blow to her abdomen and face. She came in, picked him up by his neck, and slams him into the ground.

Are they trying to prove a point, or kill each other?

Rina says, without wasting any breath, "Whoever wins gets to train Kyra."

Icel shoots back, "That's hardly fair. She asked me."

"So you do accept defeat?" She drop kicks him, and he lands on his back.

He swings his legs out in front of him, and she takes his place on the ground.

"Never."

Rina does the maneuver that ends it, without Icel noticing until it happens.

Rina's arms find their way to his windpipe, and she does a beautiful rear-naked choke. The most fluid I had ever seen. Well damn.

She wipes her hands on her legs like she just dug a grave and smirks.

"I let you win."

"Oh, yeah, I'm so sure." She rolls her eyes and flips her hair. Then she silently whispers, "pussy."

He glares at her like he has the power to kill her with his mind.

I jump in and say, "Let's not. Both of you guys will train me."

"Both?" Rina says, surprised, "I beat him. Fair and square."

"It's my training. I say you quit acting like a couple of hooligans, and train me."

"She's right. All this talk about winning her, when she should have the decision." Icel says coolly.

"Okay, but I think we should train her at different times. So she can get training on both land and water."

"That sounds fair." I reply.

"I hope you can hold your breath," he chuckles.

"I hope you'll fall off a cliff 'accidentally'," Rina shoots back at him.

Before they could go any farther I ask, "So who's training me first?"

"I won. It should be me."

I should have known this was coming.

"She asked me first."

I roll my eyes, trying to think of a way I could solve this without picking one of them. There's no coins, so we can't flip one. A peice of bark, maybe? The things you have to do in the woods. I sigh heavily, and start to walk in one direction to find some tree bark that isn't on a tree. I don't want to rip it off a perfectly beautiful tree.

I spotted a piece and picked it up. This'll do. On one side it has some green moss, while on the other it has sticky sap.

I brought it to them and say, "Let's flip this tree bark. It'll decide for us."

" I can-...."

I cut her off and say, "I'll flip it. Rina, you're moss. Icel, you're sap."

I hold the thick bark for a moment, then throw it up in the air. It wheezes through the air, then free falls to the ground on a soft patch of grass. I bend down to look at it, and I could see the moss on top.

I look to Rina and say, "You're up."

She squeals in delight, and says, "Oh goodie. Me and you are going to have some fun."

Rina reminds me of a teenager, inviting her friends over for a make-over.

Icel rolls his eyes, irritation evident in his features.

Rina walks over to me, and loops her arm through mine. We start to walk in the direction of a pool, I assume, and Rina starts to hum, "We're off to see the wizard. The wonderful wizard of Oz."

We walk for a bit, then come across a pool that is just...stunning to look at. Moss hung down from the trees, the pool surrounded by wildflowers. I swear every one we have been to has just been...there just isn't any way to describe the beauty.

This world has it's benefits and dangers. But that's how it is anywhere.

Rina says to me with a sly smile, "I'm going to go grab you some seaweed and shells, your leaves will slip right off in the water. And we wouldn't want that."

She goes to the edge of the pool and sits down, her legs halfway in the water. The water sparkles for a moment, then her legs turn into a tail. It was the most magnificent thing I had ever encountered in my existence. It was a bronzy color, reflecting on the surface of the water.

She slips under, and I wait her return.
