Icel stares after us blankly, then saunters off through the water.Rina looks to me, giggles, then spurts out, "Get your seaweed back on. That was fun, my lovely. We should do it again sometime." She winks at me, and my cheeks flood with heat.
She swims towards me, and gets serious all of a sudden.
She says to me, "I should probably talk to Icel. But...." She looks to me, and puts her hands on both sides of my face and says solemnly, "But I didn't regret one second. And I'd do it again. As much as Icel is my little brother, I don't care what he thinks."
And I believed her. I say back to her, "neither do I." She presses a quick kiss to my lips, and backs away. Her warm hand slips back into mine as we start to swim for the surface.
The light gradually grew brighter as we neared the top, and then we broke the surface. It was near twilight now, the stars starting to fill the sky with twinkling lights.
The temperature had died down to neutral. Feeding time is over now. The queen ate her victim. I shudder at that, that's horrifying to conjure up in my imagination.
I swim to the edge of the pool, and put my elbows on the soft grass. Turning my back to Rina. Rina nibbles my ear, and a squeak escapes my lips. Half from surprise, half from utter bliss.
I barely hear so much as wind in the air as Rina is dressed and starts to walk through the forest. I smile to myself, recalling those heated moments with her. She's like a goddess. I wonder what she could have done to me if we'd had more time. I twirl my fingers in the grass, humming to myself. With a body like that, I would let her do whatever she would want to me.
Moments later, I hear, "That was my training time. You had to just show up."
"Yeah, like I'm such a nuisance. I interrupted your..." I hear a cough and then, "training."
I could hear that she was trying to be innocent as she says, "I was training her."
"Mhm." I could almost imagine his raised eyebrows.
"Jealous much?"
"Me? No...."
They come into the clearing, and they stun me once more. Their beauty astonishes me again and again.
Icel looks at me as if they hadn't had that conversation, and that I didn't overhear it. He walks up to me and extends his hand towards me. I almost take it, and realize that I don't have anything but the seaweed covering my naked body. I smile sweetly, and say to him, "Give me a moment, if you will."
"As you wish." He doesn't so much as incline his head at me before he walks off into the awaiting forest with Rina.
A memory pops up, and surprises me. It only lasted a couple seconds, but you can't solve the puzzle without clues. The last movie I watched, before all this happened. The Princess Bride. One of my favorite movies to watch. I was snuggled up to Gemi, her heat simmering into my own.
Damnit!!
That's all I get? The last movie I watched? I want to know what happened after that movie, to get me to here.
I huff, and let it go as I pull up out of the water. The water rolls off my body as I hear it drip, drip, drip around me. I search for leaves around the foliage, and found some that would work. I adapted it to my body, and started to walk off in the direction where Icel and Rina went. I hear the crunching of leaves and the sighing of the wind through the trees as I walk in that general direction.
Suddenly, I hear a snap of a twig.
I freeze, looking around me for any evidence of the sound.
Shit. Shit. Shit.
I should've stayed there and not come out this far. I almost walk back to the direction I came in, but here yet another twig snap in that direction.
This a place of monsters and death, there is no way Icel or Rina are playing a joke on me. Even though I wish they were.
Another snap echoes through the surrounding forest, and I whip my head in the direction I heard it from.
"Kyra. Are you okay?" I hear Icel say in the opposite direction.
"Um..." I bit my lip and slowly say, "yeah."
I decided I didn't want to know what that was.
I walk towards Icel, not looking back. He puts an arm around my shoulders and says, "Shall we?"
We take a few steps, and my mouth falls open as I peer at the cliff that drops into open air.

I wonder what will happen next...is she afraid of heights? What is Icel planning? Maybe some more insight on what it would be like with Icel. I decided that I am going to mess around with the characters, and see what I like better. And you guys are always welcome to give me some opinions. (:
