Not Only in My Dreams

Chapter 5

Today was the day I'd try to find out more about Rosalie.

I had to try to figure out a way to ask about her without sounding like a stalker or some hopeless girl asking about her newest crush.

I wanted to get to school a little early, hopefully I could find Emmett and speak with him alone.

Once I got out of my car I glanced over at the Cullen's and then turned to lock my car. I didn't see Rosalie anywhere which was good but also bad because now I was worried about her.

Emmett's POV

"She wants to speak to you alone." Edward says to me as soon as Y/N pulled in.

I look over to see her getting out of her car. She glances toward us and turns around.

"Y/N is worried about Rosalie because she isn't here" Edward says. "Yeah, I can feel it" Jasper adds.

I start to head over towards Y/N smiling flashing my dimples, hoping that will ease some of her worries. Rosalie won't be coming to school for the rest of the week, or so she says.

She's too worried she will get carried away with Y/N. She doesn't know why but she has very strong emotions towards her. We can all see that she's her mate but Rose won't allow herself to think that. She was so upset that she let herself flirt with her because she hasn't even come to terms with it. She doesn't want to ruin someone else's life let alone be with a girl.

The last part I'm sure she will get over quick. I've seen the way she has looked at girls over the years, she definitely has the hots for girls. It's the other part that will take some convincing.

The only person that would be able to convince her would be the girl who is worrying about her absence.

"Hey chica"

"Hi Emmett" Y/N sighs, "Ready for Chem?"

"Never" I say with a chuckle. We turn to walk towards the school. "So, tell me about your siblings. What's it like living with that many brothers and sisters?" She asks randomly.

I have a feeling I know where this is going. I smirk. "Not as bad as you might think. We all have our own thing, but we like to hang out almost like friends more than siblings"

"Oh? What type of "own things"?" She asks with a playful smile.

"Well, Eddy likes to play the piano. He's actually really good but don't tell him that. His heads already big enough." She laughs along with me, "Jasper likes to read history books, mainly about American battles, Alice LOVVEESS Shopping, and Jessica and I play videos games together."

"Oh really? I bet Jess is better than you" she says with a smirk.

"Yeah right! I kick butt at video games"

"And what about Rosalie?"

"Huh? Rosalie and video games? Yeah that's a no"

She giggles and slaps my arm. "I meant what's her "own thing", as you like to put it?"

"Oh... Rose loves cars. Anything to do with engines really." Her smile widens and her eyes sparkle a bit "she's a grease monkey"

"That's actually really awesome." She says her smile fading as she looks down. "So you're with Jess and Jasper is with Alice, are Edward and Rosalie a couple?"

I start laughing so hard that if I could cry I would! I have to hold myself up against her open locker, "Oh God no. Definitely not!" Her eyes meet mine, might as well let her know what she actually wants to know, "eddy likes boys and Rose likes.. well Rose likes who she likes. Can't really label what she's into because she doesn't really know herself yet."

Her eyes are slightly hopeful but still very wary. "Where is Rose?" Ah, knew that question would come up eventually..

"She's sick. Decided to stay home."

"Oh well I hope she feels better" she says as we continue to our chem class.

"Yeah, me too.." I hope Rose gets her shit together and realizes that her mate is right in front of her and she could finally be happy for once.

Your POV

Alright well asking Emmett about his family did end up giving me some info on Rosalie. She is neither confirmed straight nor gay. So I still have a chance! I'm not getting my hopes up though. Like I said, even if she was gay, why would she go for someone like me?

Leaving Chem I'm left alone to venture towards my next class. Eric comes up next to me. I almost forgot about him... oops.

"Hey Eric" I say with a small smile.

"Hey Y/N, so you and the Cullens?" He said "I, I don't like it."

"And why not?" I don't understand, they are nothing but nice.

"I mean they're all so weird. And together. Like together together. And I don't even want to start on the Ice Queen herself. Rose is ju.."

"Woh okay yeah I'm going to stop you right there. The Cullens have been nothing but nice to me so far. Maybe if you stopped judging them for five seconds they'd show you the same curtesy." I fumed pointing my finger at him, "And if I EVER hear you speak about Rosalie or any of the other Cullens like that again, you'll regret it" and with that I left him standing there trying to understand what just happened.

No ones POV

The Cullens that were at school were all smiling to themselves after hearing Y/N defending Rosalie and the rest of their family like that. They definitely knew she was a fighter and she is absolutely perfect for Rosalie. Now if only she knew that for herself ..
