"I wanted to take you to another one of my getaways. I come here when I don't want my family to hear me think or when I want time to myself. Or someone to myself" she says giving me a wink. "Anyways I'm sure you have a lot of questions, so.. ask away." she says with her hands gracefully propping her up as she leaned back letting the sun fully engulf her body.

With a supporting smile and her sparkling porcelain skin easing my nerves. I take a deep breath and think about what I want to ask. There are so many questions. Where should I even begin?

As I think about which question I should ask first, I gaze at Rosalie. She looks so carefree right now sparkling in the sun. I have never seen this much peace gracing her beautiful features.

"So if I were to wear a garlic neckless-" I start.

"No, I would not be utterly repulsed." she says rolling her eyes and laughing at me "Come on. You find out I am a vampire and THAT is the first question that comes to mind? We aren't like the stories you humans love to read." she finishes with a big smile on her face.

"I couldn't resist" I respond shrugging, "And CLEARLY you are not like the stories us 'Humans' like to read. You sparkle in the sunlight, like a million diamonds instead of bursting into flames." I continue teasing. Rosalie looks perfect in the sunset, so carefree and happy, its hard for me to think straight. If I could see a smile on her face like this everyday for the rest of my human life, I would die a happy woman.

"Okay time for the real questions. Does you or your family uh... how do I ask this? Um do you guys ever drink human blood?" It felt so awkward having to ask her this but I have to know..

Rosalie's eyes go black and her features go stiff for a split second until she visibly relaxes, but her eyes remain a darker shade of gold. "No. My family are what you could call vegetarians. There was a time where each of us had had human blood. All for different reasons and all before we joined the Olympic coven. Now, we feed off of animal blood, it keeps us strong and healthy, but we are never fully satisfied"

I nod with a somewhat of an understanding. "How old are you? Oh crap, sorry I know I know you aren't supposed to ask a girl her age." I say rubbing the back of my neck and switching my gaze from Rosalie to the tree line to hide my blush. She just chuckles.

"I think theses circumstances allow it. Just this once though." she says with a challenging smirk. "I am 103 years old."

"wow.. vampires really do age well.." I blush. After a couple moments of silence I continue the interrogation, at least thats what it feels like to me.

"What was your life like? Before you got turned?" Rosalie once again stiffens and turns to look me in the eyes "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." I reassure her with a smile. At that moment she bows her head slightly.

"No. I want you to know.. its just, how I got turned.. more of why I got turned still haunts me. But you already know most of that story. You just didn't know it happened over 80 years ago.." she starts. "I was born in Rochester, New York in the year 1915. My mother was a 'stay at home mom' and my father worked at the bank. Thats how I met my fiancé at the time, his father owned the bank. I was only 18 when I became engaged to Royce King II." She said with a sarcastic smile pulling the facade of being proud but it looked more like a grimace. If there was one person that I hated most it would be that guy. Ever since Rosalie shared her story with me, that name made my skin crawl.

"Rosalie I am so sorry.. that guy was a bastard. If I could kill him for what he did to you I would." I say with the upmost sincerity in my voice.

"Its okay Y/N, I already took care of that." she said with a smug smile. "After he and his friends gang raped and beat me, I was so close to death. Carlisle could smell the blood and came to my aid. When I told you Carlisle made me into the person I am today that was meant both mentally and physically. He turned me that night. After my tortuous time of changing into a vampire, I got my revenge. But I made sure to leave Royce for last." she finishes.

"I hope you gave him every bit of torture he deserves and I hope he is rotting in hell right now." I grunt under my breath.

"Oh I did" she says smugly.

The sun was almost completely gone by now and the stars were about to come out. I wanted to ask rosalie one more question. One that I've been dying to ask since I confessed.

"Rosalie?", she nods as in a 'yes I'm listening, go ahead', "Back in your room.. I kind of confessed the feelings that I have for you.. um I was just wondering what your thoughts were on the subject. I mean its okay if it's not what you want. I can be friends. I'm a great friend I uh-"

Suddenly I was cut off with lips crashing into mine. My heart started pounding so hard in my chest I thought my rib cage was going to explode. Her hands are now rested on either side of my face, as I finally start to register what is happening and return the kiss. After a few more moments air starts to become a necessity. I start to pull back and hear a whimper escape Rosalie's mouth.

"Stupid humans and their need for oxygen." she grunts under her breath.

"wow" was all I could say. My mind was racing with too many thoughts I couldn't even think of a coherent sentence.

"Does that answer your question?" she says with a playful smirk her eyes now pitch black.

"Yeah that pretty much sums it up." I say playfully as I lean in to kiss her soft beautiful lips once more.

"As much as I love kissing your lips already, I'm a human we tend to get cold and need food. Real food, not blood." I say jokingly.

"Ugh fine. I guess we can leave. I see where I rate compared to 'food'. I'm sure Esme would be happy to cook you something to eat." Rosalie sassily states.

"Oh stop. You wouldn't want me to die of starvation would you? Then you'd never get to kiss me again!" I say rather dramatically.

"Okay okay you have a point. Let's get you some food so I can steal you for myself again." she says with an evil smirk.

Before I knew it, we were flying towards the tree closest to the ledge and climbing down the trunk. Next thing I see that I can comprehend is the big glass windows of the Cullen mansion. Coming to a slow stop just outside the front door, I'm let down off of Rosalie's back and I bend over to try and catch my breath.

"You-" big breath, "have-" big breath, "got to stop doing that!" I say. Rosalie bursts into a fit of laughter. "I'm going to die of a heart attack one of these times!!" As Rosalie continues to hide behind her hand laughing, Emmett comes out of the house booming.

"Y/N! Where you been? I've missed my best friend!"

"Your sister kidnapped me and tried to kill me. Multiple times!" I say throwing my arms up.

At this moment Rosalie choses to come up to me and intertwine her hand with mine as her other hand rests on my bicep. "All in good fun." she says smirking at me before smiling at Emmett.

Emmett looks between my eyes, what I think is Rosalie's eyes, and then at our intwined hands and shouts, "Finally!" as he fist bumps the air.

"Um Rose? What does he mean by 'finally'?" I say giving her a curious look smiling playfully at her.

"Uh that's a story for after you get some food in your stomach." she says as she starts to pull me into the house. As soon as we crossed the threshold I could smell the delicious sent of food cooking in the kitchen.

With Emmett following close behind us I am still thinking about why he said 'Finally'. I fully intend on getting that story out of Rosalie. If I don't succeed I guess I'll have a big burly vampire to blackmail I think, as I turn over my shoulder to give Emmett the squinty eyes mouthing 'I'm watching you'. I could see him visibly gulp as Rosalie turned me around to face the feast that Esme had prepared.
