Chapter 27

Y/N POV

Dear Amanda,

I know it's been a few months since we last saw each other. Europe is pretty amazing and if you and Kade ever get the chance it would be a great honeymoon vacation. I know he just recently got deployed and you're currently growing a little one inside you (still don't know how you can handle that. I never think I could).

This past year with Rosalie has been the most memorable of my entire life. I just wish my parents were still around to get to know the woman who stole my heart. I figured a letter would be more personable and a nice distraction from your school work. Hope to hear from you soon. You can send your responses to the Cullen's home in Forks. They will know where Rose and I are at.

Hopefully this letter will keep Amanda at bay. It's only been five months since I have been turned. Trying to hide that you are now immortal from your best friend is one of the hardest tasks I think I will ever have to accomplish. Sealing the envelope, I layed it on the desk in Rosalie and I's room to be mailed later.

"HEY! Newborn!" I hear a booming voice from the open window. "I want a rematch!"

I roll my eyes and glance at the most beautiful woman in the world, who is currently occupying our bed reading a book. "Does he really think he has a chance?"

"You don't even know what he is challenging you to." Rosalie chuckles as she continues to read.

I stand up and walk my way towards my mate. I slowly lean over her lap using my hands on either side of her hips to support my weight. That got her attention. "Oh, but we both know I'm good at pretty much everything." I tease only half joking. I notice her eyes darken a few shades, which results in a full blown smirk from me. I lean in slowly towards her, "Don't you want to watch me beat the crap out of Emmett?"

"Yes," Rosalie rasps seemingly not knowing what she is agreeing to.

"Aye! Let's go if you're so confident!" Emmett booms from downstairs.

Laughter escapes my lips as I shake my head and quickly kiss Rosalie on the forhead. Then, I launch myself out of the balcony window and land in front of Emmett. 

"Alright Emmy Bear, what am I beating you at this time." I sigh glancing at my nails as if I was uninterested.

His bulky figure is no longer intimidating to me. My strength far outmatches his, although I know it wont last forever, I plan to take advantage of beating him any chance I get. He cracks his knuckles with a smirk on his face. "Arm wrestle." his biceps flexing as he moves his arms around seemingly to stretch. 

I glance up from my nails with the smallest of smirks, "Are you sure you want to lose to me again? I know you have a pretty big ego, but surely it can only take so many blows." I taunt.

"We'll see who's ego gets hurt this time. I have a new strategy." Emmet says as he carries a boulder to place in between us. 

At this point the whole family has joined us. Carlisle and Esme are standing off to the side of the clearing clearly enjoying this little sibling rivlary. Alice and Jess are sitting on the railing of the porch, Jasper leaning next to Alice,  making bets. Edward and Jacob even seem to be interested in this little challenge.

Rosalie is leaning on the porch railing with a bit of an aggrevated look, but bemused just the same. She glances at me and I can tell I'm in for it later for the teasing, but she says "Beat his ass, Y/N" with a smirk.

"Won't Emmett just break her?" Jacob asks nobody in particular.

"With her being a newborn, her strength and speed are much greater than that of normal vampire." Edward says with a little too much interest.
