Friday came and went fairly quickly. Emmett told me in first period that he knows I like Rosalie. And he approved. He even told me he'd help set up some "hang out times to spend more time with her." His words, not mine. He's such a child.

I actually got to talk to Rosalie more today, her voice sounds like literal angles singing from above. And she doesn't just have the looks, her personality is great too. She's super snarky but very loyal to the ones she cares about. So basically to her we are friends, whereas I'm crushing on her.

Which I guess is fine. I'd never push her to be anything more. If she just wants to be friends I'll take it.

After I got dressed I headed for port Angeles. It's about an hour and fifteen minute drive and I wanted to be there before I had to meet grandma so I could shop around a bit.

**skip drive**

I park in front of the restaurant we are supposed to meet at. And start walking towards the shops. After passing a few dress shops I see a flyer for a book store.

Now that sounds more like it. I plug in the address on my phone and start walking.

Thank god for phone GPS because I never would have been able to find this place. After all of the twist and turns I find myself in a back ally staring up at the book store's front stairs.

As I climb the stairs I notice the sun is starting to set over the buildings. I find myself in an old bookstore.

Perfect. All of these books are so cool. The stories that they hold are mysterious and numerous. It makes me sad knowing I won't ever be able to read every book out there. Same with listening to music.

I go to the mythical section and start browsing. Finding a book with the quileute legends written on it peaks my interest. I have heard that this area has the quileute tribe still around and that there is a School on the reservation for kids in the tribe.

I opened the book and started reading. The first chapter was all about how the tribe was supposedly descendant from wolfs and that to kill a wolf was against tribal law.

The enemy of the tribe were the cold ones. They looked similar to normal people but didn't act like it. They had pale skin, strange colored eyes, super human strength and agility, and were cold to the touch. Hence the name.

I couldn't stop reading about the cold ones. They were so fascinating. To me they sound as if they were vampires by the way the book described them to feed on blood.

Checking the time I quickly paid for the book and walked out of the store. It got considerably colder since the sun has gone down.

I'd definitely need my phone to help me get back to the restaurant. Reaching for my phone I typed in the restaurants address and started my walk.

Glancing up every so often to check my surroundings I slowly made my way through the maze of alleyways. I heard a whistle behind me. Taking a look over my shoulder I saw two guys, one holding half of a six pack.

I starting walking a lot faster and found myself in a small dimly lit ally. With two more guys in front of me.

There's no way out of here.. the guys started walking toward me so I tried to retreat backwards and ran into the first set of guys.

"Hello little lady. What are you doin out here all by yourself?" I could smell the alcohol on them as he grabbed my shoulders and pushed me up against a wall.

"She looks like fun" one said.

I started kicking and punching but it was no use. It was four to one. I started to feel hands roaming my body as a tear slid down my cheek.

Suddenly the men were thrown off of me and I slumped to the ground in tears.

Looking up through my watery eyes I saw Rosalie and Edward throwing the guys as if they were dolls. Once they landed, they started to run away.

ROSALIES POV

I was about to chase after them until Edward grabbed my arm and motioned to my mate. I rushed over to her and crouched down next to her. She clutched onto me and didn't let go. I picked her up bridal style.

"I-I was-s s-supposed to meet my g-grandma at the restaurant" she sobbed.

Edward read my mind and nodded. Since he was going to inform her grandmother that she couldn't make it I could take her home.

I walked to her car and gently placed her in the passenger seat. She handed me the keys before blankly staring out the window.

I sighed and started the car. Once we pulled up she was too zoned out to recognize that it was my house. I went around to her side and lifted her up again.

Y/N POV

Rosalie was carrying me again. I can't use my legs I'm too numb. I can't even think.

She carries me up into a bedroom and places me on a bed.

"We can talk in the morning if you're feeling up to it." She says softly.

Before she was about to leave I grab her hand "could.. could you please stay with me tonight?"

"Of course" she says with a sad smile.

I snuggle up to her side and instantly feel safe in her arms. Tomorrow I can face what happened, tonight I'm just going to be lulled to sleep by the person I feel most safe with.
