Okay, guys, there is a lot of POV changes in this chapter but that is only because I wasn't sure how to arrange it and I wanted it to play out more like a movie scene as you read it. I hope you like it!

Y/N's POV

Hormones and Body Spray. That's all I can smell as I pull into the lot.  God, it's almost sickening. Okay, focus on something else. The mist in the air. It shimmers as it dances around the people. Their exhales bring a fog that collides with the mist. It's unnaturally beautiful. One of the many perks of vampirism is seeing the beauty in the mundane.

Subconsciously, I glance at the Cullen's usual parking spot and as expected a large jeep and a Volvo with 6 vampires lounging about them. I give a small smile and wave to the clan and make my way into the school.

I put my unneeded books in my locker and sense someone by my side.

"Hi Y/N! How are you doing?" She asks hesitantly.

"Well if it isn't the ever so beautiful, Alice Cullen," I smirk to myself "To answer your question, I honestly feel fine. No murderous thoughts here." I chuckle. "I just need to adapt to the new senses and I'll feel better. Specifically, the extreme amount of body spray and hormones that are overwhelming me." I grimace as I shut my locker. I finally look at Alice. "And how are you today?"

Alice chuckles at me, "Really? You're asking me how I am doing? I'm not the newbie vampire that needs to be looked out for."

"Of course. I was just being polite" I give her a genuine smile.

"Well, I am doing great, thank you for asking," she says cheekily.

"Since you are tasked with 'looking out for me' at school..." I pause for effect. "Would you do me the honor of walking with me to class?" I slightly bow while extending my arm for her as I grin.

"Oh, I thought you'd never ask." she fake gasps and gladly takes my arm. And down the hallway, we went. Everyone at school was giving me weird looks already this morning, and this situation didn't help.

Rosalie's POV

*This is where I imagined the song being just in this POV section though. I just like the song and wanted to add it.*

"Uh Rose, you need to let go of the locker." Emmett grimaces as I feel his hand on my shoulder, "Alice is just looking out for her, she is the one she requested to be by her side."

Those words crushed what was left of my undead heart. "I am painfully aware of that Emmett," I say through gritted teeth. Slamming my locker shut at slightly more than a human female should be able to do I storm down the hallway. I reach the closest bathroom and look in the mirror as I grasp the sink. My eyes are pitch black. Okay, deep, unnecessary fucking breath Rosalie. Just try to make it to lunch and then just say you're sick and go home. You can do it. Okay. I straighten up and make my way towards my first class.

Each one went by painfully slow. I have learned all of this material before and all my mind can think about is how broken I feel without my mate. She doesn't want me, she doesn't even act as she likes me as a friend. I stand up abruptly and storm out of the classroom. Oh good the bell rang. More convenient for me. I head to my locker to grab anything I need before I go to lunch to tell my family I am heading home.

Y/N's POV

History was easy to pay attention to for two reasons. One, I was trying so hard to focus on anything other than the raging hormones and body odor that kept assaulting my senses. And two, Jasper seemed to know to keep to himself. It's like he knew not to try to talk to me right now. As the period was nearing its end I heard Jasper whisper.

"Y/N, I know you don't remember but you and I used to bond over history. It was a mutual interest of ours." he offers up.

"Well out of the classes I have had so far it is by far the most intriguing to me. I vaguely remember I have a love for the subject." I say softly, "Thank you, Jasper, for the memory jogging tip."

"Anytime." he smiles and tips an imaginary hat jokingly. "Alice had a similar experience with her memory after she was turned. I remember her telling me she wished she had someone to tell her what she used to be like."

"I appreciate it," I say sincerely. Of course, nobody can hear our conversation due to our vampire whispering so I don't have to worry about any eavesdroppers. "Do you think it would be alright if I joined your family for lunch? I don't remember anybody else and honestly, I'm not sure I can handle being close to any humans or food for that long of a time without one of you."

"Of course, Y/N.," he says, "I'm sure everyone would love your company."

I nod my head as a thank you just as the bell rings. Jasper and I get up and gather our materials to make our way towards the cafeteria. We continue to talk about history and I start to realize I know quite a bit about history. That must still be in my mind, unchanged from my traumatic transition. My ears start to pick up on a different conversation, however.

Rosalie's POV

Opening my locker was a little tricky since I slammed it shut and it was stuck. After struggling for a couple of minutes I finally got it open and rested my head on the side of the locker. Deep, unnecessary breath Rosalie, you can do it.

"Hey, Rosalie. Looks like you're having a bad day. Anything I can do to make it better?" Oh, great fuck face decided to make a second appearance.

"Not now Mike," I say with a sigh and grab the books I needed.

"Oh come on I promise you I won't disappoint," he says suggestively.

"Don't you understand what no means? I would figure your still healing nose would have taught you that lesson."

"I didn't hear you say no specifically." He says taking a step closer to me and I took a step back preparing to "humanly" push him away and hope he would stop before a scene was made. I can use my vampire abilities without anyone noticing. The next second I knew he was being roughly turned pushed away from me.

Y/N's POV

"Not now Mike," wait, that's Rosalie's voice. I quicken my pace to round the corner I sense Jasper on my tail. As I turn the corner I hear him say "I didn't hear you say no specifically." Oh, you little shit. My blood starts to boil. I have an overwhelming sense to protect Rosalie. I can't control it. I speed walk towards them and push this so-called "Mike" backward as I stand in front of Rosalie.

"She doesn't have to you dick. You can tell she is clearly not interested in you." I say entirely pissed off.

Mike regains his balance and steps up to me like he is ready to fight. "Woah, your eyes." he stumbles back with a hint of fear on his face.

"Leave. Her. Alone." I say through gritted teeth. "Go."

He stumbles back a few more steps before he completely turns around and starts walking fast down the hallway bumping into people. I go to take a step towards him to make sure he is gone before I feel a soft cold hand grab my wrist. I turn around and finally look Rosalie in her eyes. "Are you okay?" I sigh.

"Yes. Thanks to you. Again." she says softly. She brings her other hand up to cup my cheek gently. "Y/N, you need to calm down. The humans will notice something is off."

I close my eyes and just breathe. Subsequently, I breathe in her scent and it is the most divine scent I have ever smelled. Lavender mixed with a natural smell of trees and flowers. Addicting. "Rosalie," I say my eyes flutter open. "I... I um can we talk? Maybe somewhere private?"
