Chapter 6

"I liked the 15 year old you." Ashton says sitting beside me.

"She was so naive though."

"That's what made you, you." He says pointing my arm.

"But I don't want Luke to be my weakness anymore."

"He wasn't your weakness! He was your strength and you know it!" He cries and I laugh.

"Is there anyway he could be both?"

"No. Cause he is your strength." He says before looking over at the clock on the wall. "You should get some sleep." He states and I sigh.

"How am I going to sleep while I think?"

"Your going to stop thinking. And get to sleeping! You need your energy."

"Okay Dad. Love you." I smirk before getting off the bar stool.

"Love you too, pumpkin." He laughs kissing my forehead. I laugh before going up stairs. I don't know how long I stared at the ceiling but I was so glad when I felt sleep come over me.

I wake up to someone poking my shoulder. I roll over and huff.

"5 more minutes." I mumble and the person laughs.

"You have 20 minutes to get ready." The person says and I quickly realize who it was. Luke.

"Luke." I say sitting up.

"Yeah?"

"I need to talk to you."

"We'll talk on the way to school. Get ready." He says before exiting the room. I sigh getting of my bed and plug my phone up to the stereo. I scroll through my music and finally find a song I want. Replay, I softly sing along.

I quickly put on my Green Day t-shirt and a pair of my favorite skinning jeans. I put on my vans before quickly unplugging my phone and cutting off the stereo.

"Just in time." Ash says walking to the door.

"I'm always right on time." I state and he laughs.

"Maybe in your mind." He replies and I roll my eyes. I walk over to Luke and he looks up at me smiling.

"Ready to go?" He asks and I nod.

"Yep." I say looping my arm in his. "I still need to talk to you." I whisper and he nods.

"We're walking to school we can talk then." He says and I smile.

"Okay." I say as we walk out of the front door.

"See you two at school." Ash says getting into his car. I wave as he pulls out the driveway. I turn to Luke and take a deep breath.

"Luke. I have loved you for the longest time. Almost 9 years.. You leaving didn't change those feelings. I'm so happy they didn't because you mean the world to me. And Luke. I love you. I've just realized it but I do. You are my world. " I ramble and he smiles at me.

"I love you too." He whispers before kissing me softly. My stomach erupts in butterflies. "Would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?"

"Yes. I would love to be your girlfriend."  I reply and he kisses me before picking me up and spinning me around.

"I love you Payton."
