Chapter 9

"What are you doing here?" Luke says walking towards me. He pushes me behind him trying to keep Mason as far away from me as he possibly could. Mason let's out a laugh that makes me cover my ears.

"I came to see my friend get married." He tells Luke coming a little closer. "But also to teach you a lesson on how not to steal girlfriends."

"Leave Mason." Luke says in a warning tone of voice. He backs up a little putting a hand on my arm making sure I didn't move.

"What if I don't want to?" He asks and I press my lips together. I wanted so much to say something but I couldn't.. I wouldn't dare get him mad again.

"Don't make me make you." Luke warns and I grip his forearm. I didn't want him to make a scene.

"Leave," Ashton says walking onto the platform. Mason turns to him and smirks.

"Not until I get what I came here for." He states as Calum and Michael make their way up here too.

"What did you come for, Mate?" Calum asks

"Payton." He says and I guess Luke had had enough because before I could stop him for had Mason on the ground. Calum and Michael had got in front of me to make sure Mason didn't get to me. I gasp when I suddenly remember if a werewolf bites a vampire, the vampire dies. I had to do something but if I tried to stop it with my hands I would get bit and that's something I didn't wanna go through. I run pass Michael and Calum despite them trying to stop me. I slowly start chanting the words to one of the only two spells i knew. I much have done something right because Luke ended up right next to me.

"Oh my god... Luke are you okay?" I ask kneeing next to him. He smiles at me.

"I'm fine."

"Thank god." I say wrapping my arms around him.

"Your coming with me." Mason says grabbing my arm forcing me away from Luke. Before I could react Michael grabbed Mason by the back of the neck jerking him across the yard, but Mason hadn't let go of me, not until he landed. That's when everything went black.

I wake up to a soft voice calling my name repeatedly. I slowly open my eyes and realize the voice belonged to Luke. He wraps his arms around me tightly as if it was the last time we'd ever see each other.

"I thought I lost you." He mumbles against my neck.

"What happened?" I ask as he let's me go. He sighs laying down beside me on my bed.

"Mason." he says and I close my eyes remembering everything that happened. "You hit your head pretty hard."

"That's why it hurts so bad." I joke and he smiles softly.

"You broke your ribs. And sprained your wrist." Luke tells me and I frown.

"I don't feel in pain." I tell him and he chuckles.

"I gave you may blood and you healed pretty much. Other than a few bruises and stuff." he tells me hugging me again.

"I love you Luke." I whisper holding onto him for dear life,

"I love you Payton" He says kissing my cheek. I put my head on his chest and close my eyes.

"Where's Mason?" I ask and he chuckles.

"That's a funny story." he says and I raise my eyebrow.

"What happened?"

"Me and Ash kinda kicked his butt." he says and I smile wide.

"My heros," I say getting out of my bed running down stairs.

"Hey." Michael says and I smile. I attack Ash with a hug.

"Thank you!" I tell him kissing his cheek. He hugs back smiling at me,

"Why aren't you on your way to your honeymoon thingy?" I ask and Kyah comes through the door.

"We needed to make sure you were okay." She says giving me a hug.

"I'm fine go have fun." I tell them and Ash kisses my head.

"Love you! " Ash tells me grabbing his bags.

"Love you guys too!" I tell them as he walks out to the car he walks past Luke whispering something to him along the lines of 'Keep her save.' I smile as Luke nods at him, I turn and run up my stairs to my room. I feel like someone was watching me but I wasn't sure until I felt hands around my neck.

"You scream and I'll kill you and turn you into one of them." A voice told me. The voice?... well that belonged to the one and only Mason..
