Chapter 15

*Shania's P.O.V*

i went to follow after them but Calum grabbed my arm and stopped me. By then Luke was on his knees on the ground sobbing. Ashton was trying to help him but he keep telling him to go away. Michael was staring at the ground. Calum was gripping my arm really tightly. Ally and Kyah were hugging crying with each other.

"Calum." I say softly and he frowns looking over at me.

"Yeah." he asks

"I just watch one of my closes friends be dragged away." I whisper and his grip tightens on my arm.

"And?" He asks and I let go of his arm.

"And I'm going to do something." I state grabbing the crossbow Payton had dropped and fumbled with it in my hands.

"I see why you guys are like best friends." Michael comments and I sigh.

"I'm going to save her rather I do it alone or not that's up to you." I say walking off.

Over 5 minutes later Calum, Ash, Michael, and Luke came running up behind me.

"Shania." Luke says and I turn around to face him. "What ever happens. No matter what. Don't blame yourself for this," he tells me and I nod, that was the one thing about Luke that I loved was his ability to know your thinks,

"Come on,." I say walking some more. When we get to the clearing they were walking into something that looked like a cabin. We slowly creep up to the cabin. We knew we couldn't just go in there. They would tear us apart.

"I found her." Michael says pointing at the wall in front of him. "I can smell her."

"What do we do ?" Ashton asks and I sigh.

"We wing it! but I need one of you to go distract them." Shania says and Ashton steps up.

"I've got this," he says before taken off to the front of the cabin,

"Go find an exit. " I tell Michael and he nods before taking off.

"Found it!" He whisper shouts when we round the corner. I could hear talking and struggling.

'Let go of me.' a girl snarls. Payton.

'If you'd stop struggling we wouldnt have a problem darling.' Josh says and I hear something hit the wall and then the smell of blood filled my nose. Payton's blood. Before I can stop Luke he takes off into the building with Michael close behind,

"Payton." Luke says collecting her in his arms. She looked so small in his arms so pale.

"Shania.. She's dying what do I do?!" Luke cries and I kneel beside him.

"Put pressure on where she's bleeding." I instruct. He does as I say ripping a piece of his shirt off to hold against it. I head off in search of Josh. I was going to end him one way or another.

"Well hello darling." A voice says from behind me. I quickly turn around raising the crossbow,

"Do not call me that." I snap putting my finger in front of the trigger.

"Oh did you come for Payton?" He asks "So sorry to inform you that she'll be dead in like 3 hours."

"Shut up!" I snap

"But I'm right. You know that Shania, there's only one way. She becomes a vampire. " He smirks,

'Ive had enough." I sigh before pulling the trigger. I wasn't even aiming I just wanted to hurt him, But it hit him right in the heart,. I took a step back and dropped the cross bow,

"Shania!" Luke yells

"Yeah?"

"She'll barely.. breathing..." He stutters.

"Luke."

"Shania."

"you have to change her." I tell him and his eyes go wide.

"She'll become a.. ah.."

"Vampire." I finish for him. I walk forward and grab his wrist.

"You have to Luke," I tell him as a tear rolls down his cheek. He bites into his wrist and puts it over her mouth.

"Shania..."

"Luke."

"I can't kill her." he whispers and I sigh closing my eyes.

"She'll die on her own Luke," I tell him. The thought of Luke snapping Payton's neck made me sick. We were just going to have to wait.

*Luke's P.O.V.*

The best thing that has ever happened to me is dying in my arms and theres nothing I can do.

Luke all like 'this is my fault' and I'm kinda just like 'noooooo Payton!!' I don't know how I feel about this..
