Chapter 10

"Hey beautiful." Luke says wrapping his arms around my small turso.

"Hey Luke. Happy anniversary." I say putting the dishes away

"Happy anniversary to you too my love." He says kissing my temple.

"I have a surprise." I sing- song and he laughs.

"I have a surpise too. I'm going to give yours to you now." He tells me walking into the living room. I follow close behind.

"Here you go." He says handing me a box. I open the box carefully. I gasp when I see a diamond encrusted necklace.

"Oh my god Luke." i mumble wrapping him in a hug. He laughs laughing back. He takes out the necklace and puts it on me,

"You look 10x more attractive." He comments and I blush.

"Are you ready for my surprise?" I ask and he nods.

"I'm warning you now my surprise sucks." I tell him and he shakes his head.

"just being with you is the best surprise you could give me." He says kissing my head.

"Stop being cheesy." I tell him giggling.

"where are we going Payton?" he says as I grab his hand pulling him out of the front door.

"You know where we used to hang out when we were little kids?" I ask and he nods biting his lip.

"I thought it closed down a while ago?" He questions.

"yeah actually almost 4 years ago."

"So why are we going there?" he asks and I sigh.

"Just go." I groan and he smirks at me. There's two words to describe vampire speed. Exciting and Scary.. But with Luke I felt save 'cause I knew he wouldn't hurt me.

"Okay. Close your eyes." I tell him and he obeys covering his hands over his eyes.

"Okay now open." I tell him

"oh my god.. Payton!!" He exclaims and I look out at the newly done ice of the ice rink.

"You like?" I ask and he nods smiling at me

"I love." he says and I giggle as he picks me up and spins me around.

"Let's go." I say grabbing his hand. I pull him to the place where our ice skates were at. We quickly put them on and I grab Luke's hand

" Now its been exactly 4 years since I've done this. I'm rusty." I say grabbing his arm as I almost slip on the ice.

" I've got you." He says holding onto me by my waist.

"Please don't let me fall." I whimper grabbing his torso.

"Never." He whispers and I giggle. He starts to pull me along until he finally had me going. He had pulled me a little to hard cause I ended up run right into him. We both end up on the floor. He laughs pushing the hair out of my face.

"Best anniversary ever." he says pressing his lips to mine.

"Hurry up Payton! I have this funny feeling we're being watched!" Shania yells as I run towards her.

"I have that feeling too. Let's go," I say and she grabs my arm pulling me with her!

"not so fast." A voice says making me stop in my tracks

"Mason." We growl. "Get out of our way." Shania says clenching her fists moving in front of me. I had no way to defend myself, and she knew it.

"I will when I get what I want!" He snarls latching forward slamming me against a tree. Shania quickly grabs him and slams him into a nearby tree. She was putting a lot of pressure on his neck, I swore I saw a blue tent in his face. Shania wasted absolutely no time ripping his heart out. She let's his body fall to the ground and comes over to me.

"My god. Are you okay?" She asks and I nod

"I'm fine." I tell her

"Your necks not." She says frowning

"Shania I'm a fighter I'll be okay." I tell her and she nods

"He's dead, Payton." She whispers look back at his lifeless body.

"Can't say I sad." I say pulling her into a hug. "Thank you." I whisper

"We all wanted him dead. He looks better that way." She says grabbing my hand.

When we got back to the house Luke is the first out of the house.

"my god what happened?" he asks looking at my neck.

"Mason." I say and he clenches his fist.

"Don't worry he's dead." I tell him

"Shania killed him." I add and he nods looking at as if to say 'thank hou' before turning to me.

"Shania killed Mason?" Ally asks and I nod

"Wow babe who knew you could kill someone." Calum says wrapping her in a hug.

"I'm so happy you're okay." Luke says pulling me into a hug.

"Me too." I reply hugging him back.
