Chapter 16

*Luke's P.O.V*

10 hours. Its been 10 hours since Payton stop breathing. The worst thing is i held her until it happened. Now all i can think about is her father. What would he do if he found out? What would happen?

"Mate go feed, you need it." Ashton tells me sitting beside me.

"I'm not hungry." I lie looking over at Payton.

"Luke she's not going to wake up any sooner if you stay here and stare at her." Ashton sighs patting my back.

"I refuse to leave her Ashton." I state and he chuckles.

"You know, you guys are made for each other." He says playing with her faded purple hair.

"You think?" I ask and he nods

"The things that have happened wouldnt have if you werent meant to be together." He tells me. "I wish it didnt have to be this way though."

"Ash..."

"Yeah?"

"I turned into something she never really wanted to be.. A monster."

"Luke." He sighs "You told me that you talked to her about this. What did she say?"

"That she'd let me change her when time was right."  I tell him grabbing her hand and squeezing it as if to tell her i was there.

"The time was right, Luke. I promise." he tells me before getting up walking out of the room. Payton starts to stir and my grip tightens on her hand.

"Luke?" She asks when she opens her eyes. "Luke!" She exclaims taking me into a hug. I kiss her head, her hair and anywhere my lips could touch on her face. Having your girlfriend dead for 10 hours can drive you nearly insane.

"Payton." I say breathing out a breath i didnt know i was holding. "Oh my god I'm so sorry I've made you a monster."

"Monster?" She questions her eyes filled with horror.

"Your a vampire Payton." I reply

*Payton P.O.V*

"Vampire?" I question my breath hiching it my throat.

"Yeah." He replies. I was furious, I was also terrified I never wanted to be a vampire. I cant imagine drinking blood. I look up at Luke and close my eyes I could literally hear the whole world.

"Luke..." I trail off looking down at the ground. "I wasnt ready for this."

"I know but you were dying and i - we.. couldnt lose you." He states grabbing my hand. He kisses my head before helping me down off the bed.

"I'm scared Luke." I confess as I grad Luke's arms

"Of what?" He asks

"Blood, my father, everything." I tell him and he pulls me into him.

"Do you remember when we were 7 or 8? I promised you that i would always protected you. I'm not letting anyone ruin our forever and always. You got me?" He says and i nod.

"Forever and Always." I whisper before kissing him softly.

"PAYTON ELIZABETH HOOD!!" Ashton yells attacking me with a hug. I hug back burying my head in his chest.

"ASHTON FLETCHER IRWIN!" I mock as he spins me around. When he lets me go Calum and Michael run towards me and pick me up.

"Guys!" I exclaim. They let me down and i smile at them.

"Atleast that smile is still cute as ever." Michael says and i laugh.

"PAYTON!!" Shania shouts running on me hugging me tightly. I giggle hugging her back.

"You guys act like i was gone forever." I exclaim and they laugh.

"In our eyes you were." Kyah says and Ally nods. As they both hug me.

"Hey Payton?" Calum says coming over to me

"Yeah?" I ask and he nudges me.

"Its time." he tells me showing me the ring box.

"Okay." I say nodding.
