"Alexander, darling, let me help you." Magnus reached down and fixed the colorful scarf.

"Thank you." Alexander's words slurred slightly because of the stroke that caused him to lose most of his functions on his right side.

"Anytime lovely." Magnus kissed his forehead.

"Ah." Alexander gave Magnus a confused and sad look.

"Sorry." Magnus frowned. These visits were getting harder and harder. He was just glad that the boys had finally agreed to come with him this time.

It was just so hard to see the man that used to be so youthful and full of life now struggle to even smile. Magnus wished that he knew him.

"Alexander, it's me, Magnus." Magnus whispered as he touched Alexander's wrinkly hand.

"Magnus?" Alexander looked even more confused. "Do I know you?"

"I wish you did." Magnus gave him a sweet smile. "Rafe and Max are here too. Do you want to see them?"

"I don't know. Do I?" Alexander looked so innocent and scared Magnus felt his heart clench.

"Yes, I'll go get them." Magnus gave the soft hand another pat before walking to the door. "I'll be right back my love."

"Dad, I don't want to do this." Max said as Magnus stepped into the hallway.

"You need to. He's your father." Magnus said softly and Rafe frowned.

"Dad, he doesn't even know us." Rafe added.

"Now you listen here. Your father may be old but he gave a lot to give you the life that you have so you better go pay your respects." Magnus demanded.

"Fine." The brothers who looked nothing alike walked into the room together.

Magnus brushed a single tear from his cheek as they knelt by the old rocking chair and started to speak.

"I know this is hard but you should know that you're really helping him. He doesn't have much longer to live and you're making sure they're good days filled with love and laughter." A nurse said as Magnus tried to keep from crying.

"I just wish that I could do more. It's not fair." Magnus sad with saddened eyes. "I miss him so much."

"I know. I'm so sorry." The nurse patted his shoulder and walked away.

"Dad, he's asleep." Max said as he and his brother joined him once again in the hallway.

"Okay, I guess we can go home now." Magnus said with a final look at Alexander. He knew that they wouldn't be coming back ever again and it killed him. Magnus created a portal and they jumped through.

"What the hell is wrong with you all?!" Alec demanded as his husband and sons appeared in the kitchen.

"It was dad's idea." Max pointed at Magnus.

"Magnus!" Alec smacked him. "This is worse than the fake funeral you had for me. You just picked a random old man named Alexander and pretended he was me? And you brought our children?"

"Hey, he's my friend." Magnus declared.

"You talk to him like he's me."

"It's good practice."

"I'm immortal."

"It's not that weird."

"It's insane and creepy."

"You know, the old you isn't this judgemental. I like that about him."

"He's also not me!"

"Yeah, he's nice."

"Bitch."

"Jerk."

"Why did you let them watch that show?" Max shoved Rafe.

"Why did you tell dad about the old him?" Rafe shoved him back.

"Because I'm pretty sure Dad has lost his mind and I thought it would help."

"I think they were both too far gone before we came into the picture. I mean dad thought he could pretend not to be gay."

"Should we go?" Jace asked as he looked between the bickering family before looking back at all of them sitting at the table.

"Blondie? Why are you here?" Magnus asked with an annoyed look.

"Surprise..." The others jumped out from behind furniture.

"Happy awkward birthday." Simon said.

"Right." Alec blushed. "Um, I threw you a surprise party."

"Thank you, Alexander." Magnus beamed and reached to touch Alec's cheek but he pulled away.

"You smell like old me." Alec smirked.

"Right. I'll be back darling." Magnus sauntered away to their room as every one stood still.

"Catherine?" Rafe blushed then lowered his voice so only Alec could hear. "Do you think she'll ever forget about this?"

"Seeing how your father took her there last week, I'm guessing no." Alec whispered back.

"He took her? Why?"

"To meet her future father in law."

"We don't know the guy!"

"Well she hasn't runaway yet, so that's a good sign...or a really bad sign..." Alec rubbed his chin.

"This is a disaster." Max mumbled and took a bite of the blueberry jello he had taken for the old Alexander.

"Think I could have a bite?" Jocelyn, Clary and Jace's daughter asked with a flutter of her eyelashes.

"Oh great, you're here." Max groaned.

"Oh great, you're here." She mimicked.

"I would stab you if we were alone."

"You'd fail."

"You'd be dead."

"You'd trip and kill yourself."

"I hate you." Max rolled his eyes at the girl.

"Want to go make out?"

"Sure."

"Is there a single sane person here?" Chairman Meow asked, but only he heard himself.
