On board the strike-cruiser Abaconda the men and women of Serpent Company now having been fully rallied by Pablo found they had one absolute problem, they lacked a base of operations to launch strike-missions from. Pablo, Gabriella along with the ships Captain and his Lieutenant-commander alongside the Major and Captain of all ground personal sat in the officers room to consult on how to resolve this pressing issue.
Like normal between Fleet and Infantry the two pairs of officers argued back and forth proclaiming they needed an ideal spot for their respected branch. This appearing as an annoyance toward Pablo as he sat in his chair head staring directly in front with his hands tightened around the armrests ends, where as Gab stood behind his left side with a dataslate in her hands jotting down notes where she calculated afterwards.
All of a sudden the ships alarm went off as all those seated in the room almost leapt out of their respected chairs heading full speed to the bridge with the ships Captain ordering for current status. The Abaconda had hailed a distress call from what presumed to be abandoned space-station in the heart of the sector which had the largest nodes of Conductium, the comm-officer playing it after given the order.
'To anyone monitoring this transmission, this is the space-station Transcendence. We are under attack and are unable to defend ourselves, please help us' broadcasted staticly over the comms as the whole crew turned to Pablo as if looking for an answer, he meanwhile stood with his arms crossed eye closed like he was mentally contemplating the distress.
"Orders sir?" the Captain asked causing him to reopen his eye then look directly at him.
"Track the origin of this transmission and prep for Flash-jump Captain, Major have a detachment ready for boarding" he stated pointing respectfully at the officers whilst he issued orders toward them proceeding to the armoury shortly after.
Gabriella ran after him in close pursuit to which Pablo didn't even notice her until reaching the armoury picking up a pulse rifle and smacking a fresh magazine into it, taking in some amusement by Gab's flawed attempt of mimicking him as he walked over taking the rifle from her hands.
"Think a rifle isn't for you, try this" he said smirking jokingly as he handed her a compact pistol to which she frowned.
"You're enjoying this aren't you" she uttered where he in turn minorly shrugged still smirking as he picked up the pulse rifle again flicking the charging handle down chambering a round with a distinct clink, after some instruction to putting on the body armour the pair exited the armoury meeting up with the boarding party consisting of two groups of seven.
'All boarding party members prepare to launch' rang out over the ships intercom a few moments later as the ship exited Flash-jump, hand-signalling groups to a drop-ship Pablo headed up it's ramp followed by Gab and the troops before take off with the two sitting in adjacent pilot seats he gave a simple look with a raised eyebrow, "What, I know how to fly this thing. Trust me" she responded to the look with a small grin.
Her confidence dropped minorly as the sound of ship rail-guns began firing and the ship shook from floating debris surrounding them, Pablo looked over at her again then back frontward as the hanger bay doors opened launching the ship shortly after. Gab's control of the craft was agile despite being nervous as it weaved past incoming projectiles, "Arg, no opening" she grumbled looking over at Pablo seeing he was just staring forward making her ears perk around.
"Seems someone's going to have to open those damn doors" he stated sliding his seat back and round before getting up grabbing a helmet placing it on pressuring the seal tightly, "Once I get in the airlock open the outer door" being his follow up as everyone looked at him with the thought of him being crazy crossing their minds in response to this sight he simply grinned on one side only saying "Trust me" with a wink toward Gab heading in the airlock.
