Upon finally exiting the icy caverns of Erghun, Pablo and Gabriella were greeted by a howling blizzard making it near impossible to see more then a hands reach out that'd make any man give in. Looking over at his accompanying partner, Pablo could spot that Gab was almost freezing to death even when wearing not only his but her own cold weather clothing which made him peer at his left hand which at this point was an icy pale white.
Huddling around her to shield from the cold the pair slugged their way onward through almost waist high snow, when reaching a form of shelter consisting of a large beasts frozen corpse Pablo settled Gab down then focusing on starting up a fire by utilizing the chainsaw within his cybernetic arm against the left forearm of his armour as sparks flew astray before finally igniting a patch of fur he'd sawn off the makeshift shelter a moment prior.
With the fire sorted what arose on the list of survival next was food, at first peering over the frozen beast body sheltering them a scan over it with his cybernetic eye showed it had a high risk of infections causing him to let out a sighing grunt sitting down beside Gab whom was still shivering despite the fire crackling in front of them.
"Tell me... where you come from... What's it like there...?" she asked shiveringly making him look at her then back sighing again to himself as he moved his arm around her drawing the two closer trying to warm up quicker.
"Truth is, I never really spent much time on the planet I was born. Two or three years maybe if any" he answered after giving some thought to her question, "When I asked my mother about it, she said that long ago it was a beautiful planet with vast blue waters, natural formations that people would paint for centuries and all kinds of culture that resided there." he continued making her peer up at him as his face displayed a look minor sadness and unknowing. "I plan on going back there someday, have this faint memory of promising it to someone. Life of me I can't recall whom though" he uttered lowly.
"I wish to see it too, sounds like a lovely place." Gab whispered huddling into him appearing less cold then before but not fully warmed as she closed her eyes, Pablo looked at her as a small half smile broke on his face then leaning his head back peering up at the pearl white snowy sky.
It then struck that he'd forgotten something causing him to rummage through one of his tactical pouches on his belt pulling out a M.R.E (Meal Ready to Eat), proceeding to pick up his metallic mug attached to his canteen filling it with snow then placing it near the fire to melt. Minutes ticked by as he prepared a fraction of the food tucking the rest away in the pouch he found it in, the smell weaving to Gab's nostrils stirring her before waking up being presented by his metallic mug filled with soup steaming inside making her look at him confused "What... what are you going to eat if I take this?" causing him to grin on one side.
"I'll figure something out, for now you need it more then I do" he replied planting a kiss on her forehead ruffling her hair afterwards with her pouting in response to his child-like behaviour which the pair laughed at a moment after. Pablo's face however then snapped into a serious expression ushing out a "Shh" to Gab then scanned the area with the thermal lens of his cybernetic eye hearing minor foul mannered bantering.
"Seems we got company, around six of them" he whispered but when Gab tried to move he stopped her shaking his head "You're in no state to fight, leave this to me" he stated with her response being delayed until finally agreeing with him scurrying off making as little noise as he could.
Sighing out of annoyance Gab raised her mug of soup then jumping as she looked up dropping the mug, "Ey boys... lookie what we got 'ere" a tall grubby man grunted out with five laughs accompanying after encircling her.
A sudden flash broke out between the group causing a frantic flurry of 'What was that' style statements to form as Pablo swept down drawing his pistol firing two shots at one of the six, discovering the gun was now empty he leapt forth as the vision of everyone returned. the armoured soldier darted out of the vast white with a stare of pure intent to kill snapping the neck of the nearest remaining group who'd encircled Gab as he pried the shotgun from the cold dead hands of his last victim blasting the next without even turning his head.
