Three days after Pablo had experienced what transpired in sub-sector Aegis the personal aboard the Abaconda started to become concerned for his mental health and well being especially from Gabriella and Vera who took it upon themselves to carry meals to his quarters.
Endless nights they sat outside his room only to be awakened randomly in the middle of the night from him entering a state of panic after he himself woke up due to a nightmarish shock, meanwhile inside the room every-night after waking himself out of the haunting nightmares of losing his mother twice Pablo began to fear he'd lose everybody else he held dear to his heart as he would splash icy cold water across his face to calm down and collect himself.
"Maybe I should tell them what went on back there?" Pablo uttered to himself whilst staring at his reflection in the mirror, "But do you want everyone to offer pity to you?" he continued entering a self argument "No I don't want pity, I never asked anybody for anything in my life."
By morning Pablo came to a decision in that he'd only tell Vera and Gab about what happened just to get his mind off it and focus on the safety of the sector, exiting his quarters as the door unlocked the sudden spotting of the pair sleeping beside the door took him off guard momentarily before he moved in slightly to wake them he stopped mid-way then backing off allowing them to sleep soundly heading out for breakfast.
Entering the mess hall Pablo was greeted by a room filled with awkward silence, thinking quickly on the spot he reminded himself that dreading on what happened wouldn't do any good as he greeted the personal with a humble good morning proceeding to the order his meal, several minutes ticked by before Gab and Vera even turned up causing him to wave them over taking a seat at the nearest table after receiving his order.
"Big brother? Are you okay?" Vera asked with minor hesitation shying away from him fearing he'd scold or shout at her however he instead ruffled her hair with his cybernetic hand with a small smile.
"Yeah I'm fine now, just needed sometime alone to think." he answered her taking a swig from the coffee mug in his other hand shortly after, "Sorry for making you lot worry." he added placing the mug down then leaning forward resting his elbows on the table. A sharp inhale and exhale later with a hang of the head he began to explain to those now gathered around their commander of what happened.
"What happened on Bao'ke wasn't the first time I had ran among the Raveners. My first encounter was on a planet called Irvon 7, a vital nerve of the Humanity Congress rule." he spoke whilst leaning back folding his arms peering upward and closing his eye, "My mother was Salindre Forgen who fought for equality among the races including the half-breeds, naturally the local governments saw her as a thorn to be removed. However no one could predict what would occur. Ion-storms grew and the air thickened with smog making your sight seem almost non-existent." he continued then taking a sip from his mug. "The tri-power war had ended but like all wars it's aftermath wasn't over, even if one war ends another lurks like dark clouds preparing rain to then enter a storm."
It all changed on my fifth birthday, the Raveners had revealed themselves from the Ion-storms creating a massacre of any living thing that wasn't them. I remember it too well, first time I had seen solid ground for years after humankind was forced to leave Earth.
The planet's two suns were pulsating alongside the cool breeze within the capital city, I was still amazed I had survived the first few minutes let alone survive the massacre at all and witnessing my parents being torn to pieces inches from me was a like a cold spike to my heart. But it wasn't over just yet, as the only blood relation to my mother left the Congress Directors punished me for what they saw as crimes so they had locked me away like I were a Ravener myself, some of the soldiers felt sorry of it being done but they were powerless in the end and as for the other inmates?
