A quiet, relaxed yawn stirred from the brown-haired male as he sat up in the large, softened bed while stretching out his arms, looking to the window on his left as a blanket of warm, glistening sunlight seemed to pour through the thin glass as it cast a golden, orange-like hue onto the bedroom. Out of the corner of his emerald-colored eyes, a small smile came to Beck's face as he took note of the peaceful, soothed canine-hybrid that was still fast asleep beside him, his chest rising and falling in a silent, content manner as his soft, velvety ears flicked back and forth from up top his head. It had been almost an entire week since the fateful night of the celebratory party where all the creatures of Rebecca's creation had come together to meet underneath the same roof, being the Feral Plains manor, to celebrate the odd, yet beautiful family that they were all apart of and their independence from the cruel human world that had brought them so many hardships and setbacks. In many eyes, the event had been a sure success in bringing everyone together to bring peace and happiness throughout the different worlds that they had all come from. However, despite the male agreeing with them about this, that was actually the last thing that lurked in his mind at the moment. Beck lifted his hand that had been resting on his side to peer at the snug blackened ring that he wore on his finger, seeing the darkened scarlet-hued line that went up and down across it. In the late afternoon of the previous day, the two males had been brought together before everyone to be the first couple of the manor to be married and seen as official mates now. In his own personal opinion, Beck liked the sound of mate better than a husband, but technically the canine-hybrid would be both for him and vice versa, of course. Henry had taken him by complete surprise when the canine had gone forward and proposed to him before the whole crowd with confidence sparking in his eyes and a deepened blush upon his cheeks. It had been a scene that had brought him to cry tears in front of everyone, which was something that he had not done in front of anyone in a very long time. Throughout all of it though, Beck couldn't help but be more than happy right now at this new chapter in his life, along with the love of his life. It was still rather early in the morning for the manor, which meant that many were still asleep, but the older male couldn't help himself from being awake right now, due to their special plans. They were going to go on their honeymoon at the small cabin that they had shared together several months ago. Usually, in the human world, the honeymoons after marriage went on for about eight days, but Rebecca had insisted that they enjoy their alone-time and have an entire month to themselves after they had gotten married. Both him and Henry had agreed to this without any objections, more than willing to get away from everyone and do things at their own pace as lovers like they wanted.
As he now began to draw away from these thoughts, Beck rested his head back down on the pillow and laid on his side, facing the raven-haired male with a gentle smile being present still as his current expression. Seeing how peaceful and stress-free the canine-hybrid was as he slept almost made him not want to wake him up yet, but excitement and prospect would soon get the better of the older male as he went forward and rested his forehead against his mate's forehead. "Henry.." He murmured, tone softened and gentle, "It's time to get up now, today is the first day of our honeymoon." At his words, Beck saw the canine-hybrid's nose twitch as he gave a slight grumble, which made Beck chuckle, knowing how stubborn he was when it came to getting up in the morning, especially when it was still rather early compared to his usual wake-up time. "Come on, I'll let you have the shower all to yourself before we head out, I promise." Beck insisted and that made one of the smaller male's eyes open, the dark olive green-hued eye staring at him as Henry rolled onto his stomach and stretched out his arms, arching his back slightly, much like a canine would do when first waking up from a satisfying amount of rest. "Good morning." The raven-haired hellhound mumbled sleepily, hugging the white pillow underneath him gently as he looked up at Beck with tired, yet happy emotion in his eyes, which made Beck smile. "Good morning, sweetie." He said with a purr rumbling from him, "Did you get enough rest? We'll have quite a walk to take today if we are planning to get to the cabin before nightfall." Henry closed his eyes for a moment before uttering a gentle sigh and giving a nod of his head to confirm. "Best sleep I've gotten in awhile, I'll admit." He said, "I don't anticipate the trip through the frost-covered forest though." Beck agreed with the canine on that, knowing that it was getting close to the winter months and already there were hints of the future snowfalls in the near future for their home. Both of them were not huge fans of cold weather, but the brown-haired male knew that they could get through it if they just had each other. "Don't worry, we'll get there as quickly as possible and then get a fire started in the cabin to warm up right up. Sound good?" He remarked, "Besides, I'll have you to keep me warm, right?" Despite the smaller hybrid being not fond of the cold, he was a commander of fire and heat of all sorts, so that would certainly come in handy for the two of them in the end result. A slight smile came to Henry's face and he gave a small laugh, nodding once more as he heaved himself out of bed and stretched out his arms once again. "I'll do my best." He simply said, his bushy tail waving behind him now as his gaze wandered to the bathroom door that lurked on the opposite side of the room. "Consider this my wedding gift from me," Beck said with an amused chuckle once again coming from him, "Cherish the warm water while it lasts." The canine-hybrid rolled his eyes at this, but with the smile evident on his face, the older male knew that he was fine with it, considering the fact that Beck often hogged the warm shower.
"I'm gonna warn you about this now, but I'll probably be in there for about thirty minutes or possibly an hour." Henry mentioned, "I honestly cannot remember the last time that I got the chance and motivation to take a shower." The taller male smirked at this as he sat up once again and let his legs rest on the side of the bed for the moment. He looked at the canine-hybrid with a slight glint in his eye as the smirk now stayed on his face. "You know, we could just save time and energy by one simple solution," Beck suggested, making a shiver run up the other male's spine at the mere thought, but he kept his composure. "In your dreams, Worthington." Henry remarked with a huff, "We both know that if you join me that there will be no actual showering going on and the last time I checked, you were rather excited to get on the road to the cabin before nightfall." Beck brushed a hand through his hair as he stood up and headed over to the closet now to pick out some warm clothes to wear before they headed out. "I mean, I never said anything about joining you - just a simple solution." He mentioned as he now went through his wide variety of shirts that were hung out in front of him, "Those were your words, not mine." The canine-hybrid's tail lashed behind him as he heard his mate's words, but found himself speechless because he was somewhat correct about that statement. This made him give a low growl as he stormed off to the bathroom. "Whatever." His last remark came as an irritated grumble as he disappeared into the bathroom and shut the door behind him without any further words needed. Beck secretly loved to frustrate his mate at certain times due to the fact that he was adorable when he was all grumbly and pouted like a puppy. As stated in previous statements, he also knew how to get Henry out of a bad mood rather quickly, which had become a unique skill of his that he was rather somewhat proud of in a certain sense. As he picked out a dark green-colored sweater that would surely keep him warm on the way to the cabin, Beck looked over at the bathroom door, hearing the distant sound of running water from inside. He was tempted to actually join his mate in the shower, knowing that it had been a long time since they had done something like that and he would be lying if he said that he didn't miss it from time to time. However, to the feline-hybrid's ultimate dismay, an abrupt knock at the door of their bedroom broke him away from these suggestive thoughts and made a slight frown coming to his face - who could be bothering them at this early in the morning? Beck gave another sigh as he quickly slipped the sweater over his head and walked over to the door as he adjusted the attire correctly while brushing a hand through his hair that showed hints of bed head, but that was the least of his current concerns. He turned the knob and cracked open the door, expecting Rebecca to be wishing them a farewell or something before they headed off, but to his surprise, it was not his younger sister at the door, but his brother-in-law, Hyde, who was standing in the hallway with a neutral expression on his face. "I hope I'm not disturbing anything at the moment." The older brother of his mate remarked, blinking up at Beck with his darkened scarlet-hued eyes. The brown-haired male decided to keep his earlier plans to his own mind and simply leaned against the doorframe causally. "No, no. You're fine, Hyde." He mentioned, "Henry wanted to take a long shower before we headed out on our honeymoon." The hellhound gave a slight nod, looking off to the side for a few seconds. "Good, because I need to talk with you before you leave without him present." He remarked, "Follow me if you would."
