The doctor comes in.
Dr: We need to take him to surgery now.
A: Okay. You are really strong Charles and we'll see you when you're out of surgery.
Dr: Actually he is going to be in surgery for about 6 hours or maybe more. He won't be done with surgery until around 2:30 am.
C: Why don't you guys go back home and come back here in the morning and see me.
J: Are you sure?
C: Yes. I am 100% sure. Plus Thomas said he's going to stay here with Aaron tonight so you guys can go home and come back in the morning.
A: Okay.
I hug Charles and he hugs me back, Joey hugs him next.
A: Good luck Charles.
C: Thanks Ava.
Me and Joey walk out of the room, he calls an Uber.

J: Do you want to go to mine or your house?
A: Isn't your family home?
J: No. They leave every 2 weeks. They just left yesterday.
A: Oh. We can go to your house if you want.
J: Where do you want to go?
A: It doesn't matter to me.
J: Okay.
We walk outside to wait, it starts to get really cold.
J: Are you cold?
A: No not really.
J: Yes you are. *laughs* I can tell.
Joey takes his sweatshirt off.
A: Now you're going to be cold.
J: So? I'm tough. *laughs*
A: *Laughs* I love you.
J: I love you too.
I put on Joeys sweatshirt, he kisses me and I kiss him back. The Uber gets here a few minutes later, Joey opens the door and we get in. He tells the Uber driver his address and he starts driving to Joeys house, we get to Joeys 25 minuets later. We get out of the car and walk inside and go up to his room, he lays in his bed and I lay next to him. Joey pulls me to his chest and I wrap my arms around his waist and burry my head into his chest.
A: You're nice and warm.
J: *Laughs* You're cute.
A: Not as cute as you.
Joey smiles and kisses my forehead, he turns on a movie.
A: I hope Charles is going to be okay.
J: He will. He's tough he can make it through the surgery. We'll go see him in the morning as soon as you wake up. Okay?
A: Okay. I love you a lot JoJo.
Joey smiles at me again.
J: I love you a lot too princess.
Joey kisses me again and I kiss him back.
J: You look so adorable with my sweatshirt on you.
I blush, me and Joey fall asleep a little bit later. I wake up around 9:45 am, when I open my eyes I see Joey looking at me and smiling.
A: Why are you smiling at me?
J: Because you're beautiful.
I smile and get up.
J: Are you ready to go see Charles?
A: Yeah.
J: Okay.
Joey stands up and hugs me, he walks to his closet and hands me a pair of clothes.
J: Those are your pair of clothes that you left here a few nights ago.
A: Oh okay. Thanks JoJo.
I walk into the bathroom and get changed, I put my hair up in a high ponytail. I walk out of the bathroom and put my shoes on, Joey calls another Uber. He grabs 2 sweatshirts and hands 1 to me and I put it on, he puts the other 1 on. Joey grabs my hand and kisses me, we walk outside to get in the Uber. We start heading to the hospital and we get there 25 minuets later, we walk into the hospital and go to the front desk.
(N=Nurse)
N: Hi. How can I help you?
J: We are looking for Charles Gitnick.
N: Okay. Are you family?
A: I'm his sister.
N: Okay. Right this way.
The nurse stands up and starts walking towards Charles room.
N: Here you are.
J: Thank you.
Me and Joey walk in and stand by Charles.
C: Hi guys.
A: Hi Charles. How are you?
C: I'm good. The doctors fixed my lung but I have to be emitted here for 1 week to make sure nothing happens.
J: Oh. At least they were able to fix your lung.
C: Yeah. Ava when do you leave?
A: In 4 weeks.
C: Oh. Maybe we can ask Mom if you can spend 2 more weeks.
A: I don't think she would agree with that.
J: Why not?
A: Because 1 I start school again in 5 weeks and 2 because it was hard enough for her to let me come when she found out Dad wasn't going to be here for the whole summer.
C: Oh. Do you do public school?
A: Yeah.
C: Oh. I thought you did homeschooling like me and Joey.
A: Oh. Mom won't let me do homeschooling.
C: Why not?
A: She thinks I need to socialize instead of staying at home all day.
C: That sucks.
A: Yeah it does.
Me, Joey and Charles talk for a few more hours until we leave, Thomas arrives to pick us up 4 hours later.
A: Bye Charles.
C: Bye Ava. Bye Joey.
J: Bye.
Me and Joey walk out of the hospital and get into Thomas's truck, he starts driving us back to the house. When we get there we walk inside and go into the kitchen, we make some grilled cheese sandwiches and sit on the couch and watch Friends. We get up a few minutes later later and head up to my room, I head to my bathroom while Joey sits on the chair and I start taking my hair out and start brushing it. I walk out of the bathroom 5 minuets later, Joey grabs my wrist and swings me onto his lap.
A: What is your deal with this chair? When we come up here you always sit on it. *laughs*
