*Recap*
They start getting dressed and put a pair of clothes and a pair of pajamas for each of them in a bag, I grab 2 of their favorite toys and put them in the bag.
M: Can we bring our blankies?
J: Yeah. Grab your baby blanket and I'll put them in the bag.
K: Okay.
They hand me their blankets and I put them in the bag, we walk out to the living room and I start putting their shoes on. When I have their shoes on I put their coats on them, we walk out of the apartment and out to the car. I put them in their car seats and start driving to Mom and Dad's, when we get there I take them out of their car seats and grab the bag. We walk up to the front door and I ring the doorbell, Mom answers it a second later.
Mom: Oh hi hunny. What are you doing here?
J: Can I talk to you?
Mom: Yeah of course. Kaiden, Mason why don't you guys go watch tv in the living room with grandpa.
*End Of Recap*
Kaiden and Mason walk into the house and start watching tv.
J: Can the boys stay here tonight? I'll lock them up in the morning.
Mom: Yeah of course they can. Is everything okay?
J: Not exactly. Ava's Dad passed away this morning and I want to be there for her today and just be with her but it is hard to do that when I need to take care of the boys too so I was wondering if you guys could just have them for the day?
Mom: Of course Joey. Tell Ava that I'm sorry for all the mean stuff I said to her or about her and tell her I'm sorry for her loss.
J: I will but you could tell her yourself too. She is going to be your daughter in law soon.
Mom: You proposed?
J: Yeah. Yesterday. I asked for her Dads blessing a few days ago and he knew he wasn't going to live long so he thought it was a good idea to do it in his room so I did.
Mom: Well congratulations Joey.
J: Thanks Mom and thank you for watching them.
Mom: It's okay now go be with your fiancé.
J: Okay. Bye. I love you.
Mom: I love you too.
I hand Mom the twins bag and walk back to the car and start driving back to the apartments, I stop at the store and get some of Ava's favorite flowers and favorite chocolates. I get her some chocolate truffles and Dahlia flowers, I pay for them and start driving back to the apartments. When I get get to the apartments I park my car and walk inside, I open the door to our apartment. I walk to the kitchen and put them in a vase, I take my shoes off and walk back to the room with the chocolate truffles in my hand. I lay on the bed and get under the blankets and sheets, I hug Ava to my chest.
J: I dropped the boys off at my Mom and Dad's. I'm sorry Babe. I wish there was something I could do.
(Ava's POV)
A: *Crying* I-I wish there was too.
J: I know that this might not make it better but I got you some of your favorite chocolate.
A: *Crying* O-okay.
Joey kisses my forehead and wipes my tears, he pulls me closer to his chest and hugs me tighter. I lay my head between his neck and the pillow, I wrap my arms around his chest.
J: I love you so much.
A: I love you so much too.
I close my eyes and fall asleep.
(5 YEARS LATER)
It's been 5 years since Dad passed away, me and Joey have been married for 4 years now. We had a baby girl and we named her Liv, she's 4 and the twins are 10 now. We moved into a house that had 4 bedrooms, Liv has her own bedroom and each of the boys have their own bedroom.
