Joey kisses me and I kiss him back, after the movie is over I turn around and Joey wraps his arms around me and rests his hands on my stomach. I fall asleep a few minutes later and Joey falls asleep after me. I wake up again around 2:45 a.m with a pain in my back, I sit up and hold my back. I get up out of the bed and walk to the kitchen, I grab my phone and call Dad.
A: Dad, I have a question?
Dad: Ava, it's 2:50 in the morning. What's your question?
A: When Mom was pregnant with me and Charles or Thomas did she get back pains when she was 4 months?
Dad: Yeah. We were only supposed to have you but she had back pains and she found out she was having twins but it could also be braxton hicks.
A: So is it okay to go to the doctor or should I just stay home?
Dad: Well what's your pain level on a scale of 1 to 10?
A: Like a 9.
Joey walks out of the room and into the kitchen.
J: Babe? What are you doing?
D: Ava you probably need to go to the hospital.
A: Do I have to go now or can it wait until morning?
D: Go now Ava.
A: Okay.
I hang up.
J: Ava, what's wrong?
A: We need to go to the hospital.
J: Why? What is wrong?
A: I'm having the same back pains as my mom when she was pregnant with me and Charles and my Dad told me that we need to go to the hospital now.

J: Shit. Okay cmon. We need to go.
A: Joey, you don't need to rush.
J: I don't care if I don't have to rush I want to cause I want to make sure you and our baby boy is okay.
A: Okay well go out some clothes on and I'm going to get shoes on.
Joey goes to the room and starts getting dressed while I put my shoes on, he walks out a few seconds later with my jacket and his. He hands mine to me and I put it on, we walk outside and get in his car. Joey starts driving to the hospital, when we get there we walk inside to the desk.
(N~ Nurse~~ D~ Doctor)
N: Hi how can I help you.
J: Um my girlfriend is having back pains and she's 4 months pregnant.
N: Okay. Name?
A: Ava Gitnick.
N: Okay. How bad is your back pain?
A: On a scale of 1 to 10 its a 9.
N: Okay. We will get you in as soon as we can.
J: Okay.
Me and Joey go sit down and talk.
J: Why didn't you wake me up when your back started hurting?
A: Because I didn't want to wake you up and I wasn't sure if it was just braxton hicks or if it was something that was an emergency.
D: Ava Gitnick.
Me and Joey stand up and follow the doctor to a room, me and Joey sit on the chairs.
D: So what seems to be the problem today?
J: She has this really bad back pain in her lower back.
D: Okay. Ava, are you pregnant?
A: Yeah. 4 months.
D: Okay. Can I have you lay down on this bed please and lift up your shirt.
I get up and on the bed and lift my shirt above my stomach.
D: Do you know the gender?
A: Yeah. We're having a baby boy.
D: Okay.
The doctor puts gel on my stomach and starts rubbing it around with a monitor.
J: What are you doing with that? We already got an ultrasound.
D: I'm going to see if I can see what's causing the problem for Ava's back pain.
A few minutes go by.
D: Um are you guys aware that you are having twins?
A: No. We were told we were only having a baby boy.
D: Well congratulations you guys are having twin boys.
A: Why would that be causing me back pain though?
D: Because 1 of the babies is pushing on the other a bit and it's pushing against your back so that's what causes the pain.
A: How come when we got the ultrasound they only found 1 baby?
D: Because the other baby was hiding perfectly behind the other 1.
A: Oh.
D: Do you want new ultrasound pictures?
A: Yeah.
D: Okay.
The doctor leaves the room and I wipe the gel off with a paper towel, I look at Joey and see his head in his hands.
A: Are you okay Joey? You're not upset are you?
J: No. I just don't know what we are going to do. 2 kids Ava.
A: I know Joey. 2 kids is a lot for us because we are only 16. If you think about it it's kinda great because it's just another thing that we can share in life.
J: Yeah it is great but I just wish we were older.
A: Me too.
The doctor walks in a few seconds later and hands me the ultrasound pictures.
D: Here are your pictures and if you feel pain like this again it's just braxton hicks so there's no need to come in for that but you can take Advil for the pain. Okay?
A: Okay. Thank you.
Me and Joey get up and leave, we get in Joeys car and he starts driving back to the apartments. When we get we walk inside and walk to our apartment, we take our shoes off and walk to our room and lay down. Joey turns around and faces his back towards me.
A: Joey, are you sure you're okay?
J: Yes Ava. Just let me sleep.
A: Okay.
I turn around so my back is facing Joeys back, I fall asleep a few minutes later.
