"Sorry. I am not as free you. I can't waste my time right now." Alec stood in the hallway, surrounding by blabbering girls, his path blocked by the head of science committee.
Magnus was standing with his shoulder to Alec, looking out the window at the open ground and empty tennis court. He looked sideways and eyed Alec up and down slowly. This guy irritated Magnus to no ends, acting carelessly all the time.
"Since you missed the budget meeting again, I assume you don't require it. Just hand it over and I'd let you pass."
"Sure. Do just that and see what happens." Alec, the head of sports committee side stepped the head of science committee and walked past him. Magnus didn't turn to look behind him as Alec passed but he stiffened as Alec's hand brushed his own. Alec too felt a current pass through his arm.
He stopped in his tracks and looked over his shoulder at Magnus, still standing in the same position looking every bit as handsome as ever. Alec shrugged mentally.
"If I give you the budget, the whole sports department will come after you and your puny nerds. If you can handle that, go right ahead and put in that request."
Alec really meant it. He didn't want any part of the committee or president-ship. He just wanted to focus on his game. As he rounded the corner, he bunched his hand into a fist, willing the buzz to go away. He entered his class, ignoring the babbling girls.
