Chapter 1 - New Team

Axel POV

*5 Years Ago. November 1st.*

We are having a family meeting without Kayli. I have come to despise that girl. She's manipulative, she's angry, she's a freaking nightmare, and worse is she's trying to tear our family apart. 

See about a month ago, Kevin finally left Mindy. He was unhappy for awhile and their relationship was straining because of the Academy work. She never qualified for the Academy, therefore was never able to join. Kevin hates Kayli and vice versus. Kevin has moved into Brandon and Corey's apartment and now we are finally a complete team. Kayli originally was only supposed to join us for one mission but some of us came to like her so we decided to try what the Anderson team has successfully accomplished as well as I hear the Blackbourne team. I've never met their bird but supposedly she's amazing. Not just as a woman but also as an academy member. When we sent Kayli through the training, their bird beat her at every turn. It pissed her off so much we dealt with her rage for a week over it. I personally was impressed but had to keep my opinions to myself. 

Now that we have our whole family together back under one roof, we thought it would be peachy. But Kevin wanted nothing to do with her and told us as much. She's not reliable on missions, she often goes rogue unless Raven is with her. We've all wanted to pull out of this but we just don't know how to completely yet.

"Okay, let's get this meeting underway. Marc update."

"Well, Kayli is out doing surveillance now at the Coaltar residence. We had a fight. Again." He rolls his eyes and so does everyone in the room. "So she asked to go by herself since it is the middle of the day. I happily agreed." He answers. 

"Alright, good. Now how does everyone feel about her? Truthfully. Let's get this out on the table and cleared now while we have no pressing missions." I ask the room. 

"Well we all know how I fucking feel about that twit. She's a mess and not the good kind. She has rage issues. I saw her punch Brandon because he got her fucking breakfast wrong! Why the fuck is she still here? She was only temporary." Kevin airs out.

"Personally, I'm done with her. We may need to get the Academy to step in at this point. We can't have her on our team." Brandon agrees.

"Same. She's a mess. And ever since the Coaltar party she's been even angrier at us and defending him. Something is wrong there." Marc tells us.

"Corey?" I ask. He's been quiet this whole meeting.

"To be honest, I never really liked her. I went along with this for you guys and because I thought it would tear the team apart if I didn't. I mean I reaped the benefits a few times but even then it was unsatisfying." He tells us with a blush. We all laugh at his red face.

"I wish you would have told us, we could have wasted a lot less time." I chuckle.

"Da, I'm done. I have scratch marks from her fighting me about television. сумасшедшая сука. (Crazy bitch)." Raven answers. Before I can reply our TV goes off with a video call from Dr. Phil.

"Hello Phil. What's the occasion?" I ask when his face pops up.

"Hello team. First let me ask, is Kayli with you?" 

"No, she's out on surveillance." I answer. Not knowing where this is going.

"Good, now Axel, are you still all feeling the way you mentioned to me last week about the situation with her?" He asks.

"Actually we were just having a meeting in regards to it. But yes, we are all feeling that way." I answer a little skeptically. I'm nervous about where this could go with Phil.
