aoi family bonding time!!!!!

— — —

The clock chimes, dusk has fallen and the evening was peaceful.

It was around ten-thirty, and the bakery had just closed a couple minutes ago. You and the Aoi siblings got home after everyone else separated for the day, quickly splitting up once the monorail reached your hometown. However, upon opening the door to the residence, you and the siblings were dragged in to do some chores requested by a tired Chiharu. It was a grueling thirty minutes worth of cleaning and tidying up the place, but as soon as the lights of the bakery turned off, you and the others eagerly cheered.

After taking turns bathing to wash off the grime and dirt from the trip, you and the siblings were finally able to wind down after the exciting day. Chiharu took this opportunity to take a shower in her room and allowed you four to stay up past bed time. However, Tokonatsu and Nika were already falling asleep rather quickly on the couch, their stomachs were stuffed full by their dinner and their growing bodies needed to rest. Valt, however, was still brimming with energy as he hums to himself softly, though low enough to not wake his siblings up. All of them had suggested a movie night, but the twins must've overestimated their endurance fighting against sleep.

Chiharu was really concerned over why you came home in the worst state you've ever been. She freaked out over your bandages and slowly peeled one to see the damage, but saw none. After getting over the shock and allowing her to take the rest off, you happily cheered over how quickly you healed back up again. Valt and the twins were visibly relieved to see you were okay. Chiharu scolded you, however, and warns you to be more careful next time. She also said the phone she was going to buy was going to wait another day as she's a bit too busy to head to the store for it.

The lights were low, and you adored the fact that the connecting bakery business always had a wafting scent of bread flowing in the house. Warm and delicious; it never fails to relax your nerves knowing you were home. To add on the comfortable atmosphere, tonight, you wore something else other than the usual, Bey-assigned outfit. Chiharu didn't want you wearing the same thing daily, or at least while you're at home, and went out of her way to buy you more clothes. With your tastes in mind, she went out a got you a nice pair of pajamas. Soft and silky—you were really fond of the choice.

Through this kind gesture, you fully understood how awkward and embarrassing your question was to the group earlier today. But you were happy regardless. This house was finally feeling like a home, despite the rocky start.

Valt sat on couch with his knees up to his chest, eagerly switching the channels on the TV after the designated movie had ran its time. You sat down beside him and watched as he clicks through. He pouts and brings his blanket closer to his chest.

"There's nothing good. . ." He sighs.

"What're you looking for?" You ask curiously.

"Something good. . ."

You muffle your giggles with your hand as Valt quickly joins you. Minutes later and after calming down, you two settled in a comfortable silence, something rare in the midst of the usual excitement. A quiet, and tired Valt is a rarity. Perhaps only Shu or Xhaka has seen him like this.
